For my 1:200 scales i use Gemini and I’ll probably start using NG for my 1:400 scales

At the moment none of them, Gemini and JC use a lot of borderline awful moulds, same goes for Herpa, but I don’t go to them as I don’t collect 1/500. Can’t remember the last time I ever got a model from Dragon, but I use to have some of their 1/400 stuff and it was alright at best. Phoenix are getting better, but still use a lot of outdated moulds and only tend to make widebodies which aren’t of use to me, or airlines which are of use but the livery is an older one which is before my collections main time frame.
Then you have NG, who decide to make a community suggestion which they approved as a Lite model, when it’s clear that people didn’t want that, release 5 versions of the same model and only tend to bother with stuff for Chinese and American collectors, on top of that the new 767-300 mould is dreadful, generally poor printing on recent releases, especially with cockpit windows and the actual height of windows on a lot of releases as of late, 767s, A320s being the main ones it’s very noticeable on.
Being honest, at the moment, they are all a load of rubbish if you don’t collect American or Asian models, Europe and Africa being completely ignored by just about all the main manufacturers. I’ve saved a fair bit of money on models this year, so that’s a positive!

For quality it’s gotta be NG. They don’t have the variety that one would hope for, but they tend to be good with the exception of the 767. Gemini I’ve had both realism and quality issues. Others are dramatically worse.
