Finally got my airport into a state that I’m happy to call finished, might need to look into better ways to stick the floodlights down at some point to make sure they aren’t leaning over to one side and are sturdier.
And to think, only 3 of these 7 are in-game
. Looking good.
Cheers, one can all but hope for the TCX A330 (the hybrid livery) and TOM 752… Definitely the kind of contracts I’d use quite a bit.
My latest bargain has just arrived, managed to pick up this Monarch A330 by Phoenix in the ARD sale for £31.50. It’s a really good looking model, and it means I’ve finally got something to pair with my Balkan Tupolev.
The airport is coming along nicely! Love to see the little details like the display aircraft behind the terminal. Where did you even get those lol
I got them off Avgeekmodels on eBay, there’s a few older bits I’ve got as well like the Jet2 branded stairs. I always keep watch for new things that could work well on it.
The display aircraft are actually a pair of pin badges that I’ve had sat around for quite a while, I got some from the Aviation Shop at Manchester Airport.
That’s sick man, I’m too addicted to 1/200 & 1/72s that my 1/400 collection is still pretty small lol. I plan to slowly collect more 1/400s but I don’t know whether to use a tarmac designs mat or do it myself. I’m leaning towards doing it myself right now though lol. But I really like your airport it looks sick!
Thanks! I plan on eventually starting on another, slightly larger airport at some point as I’ve got the buildings sat around ready. This small one here was mostly a way to test a few things out and see how it turns out, although I’ve kept the airside details rather basic so the airport is easily expandable as modulars in the future.
I just wish the grey paint wasn’t so shiny… ![]()
nice monarch A330, i really like the livery
Would a light sanding and/ or a matte clearcoat work? Or are you planning on weathering it before?
Got no plans to weather it, I’ve just used the same paint I’ve always used for my airports bases. I’m wondering if it might be down to how many layers there are.
It’s not a massive issue anyways, but something to give some thought for the next project for sure.
No
… scam probably
I wouldn’t, I’d keep an eye out on eBay as you know what you’re getting then and have better buyer protection in case anything goes wrong. Probably find one for less as well.
I have it and it’s a good model, not worth that price though imo (Though it’s good news for me if I want to sell it
).
thank you for the suggestion, i found a seller Jetdreams diecast and they have many diecast planes at relitively good prices on Ebay.
No easyjet hasnt a350 and never heared.they buy some.
its a funny concept and i think its cool.
About 55 quid so not too bad. A chunk more than I paid but I got it new lol. I looked last and found only one in Germany for something daft like £110.
what…? ohhh… euros, its 95.75 canadian to get it from amerika (german)
and honestly i the photos look alot better then… what ever the other was.
