MSY - Realistic Routes and Gates

Created By: @Tanman

Last Updated: April 15th 2026

Hello all! I noticed nobody had done a realistic route guide for New Orleans yet, and I made one a while back, so I decided to update it. Here is a list of realistic routes and gates for players (like myself) who prefer to play WoA as close to real life as possible. I plan to keep this updated as much as I can. Please reach out if you have any questions or revisions that need to be made, enjoy!

ROUTES/CONTRACTS:

KEY:

(S) = Seasonal Route

(C) = Charter Route

BOLD = Livery/Aircraft/Airline/destination not currently in-game

There are two ways that aircraft from the same destination and airline are split:

  1. An aircraft split with a (/) symbol means that those aircraft are used interchangeably on the same FLIGHT. (For example, for BA to LHR, it says B788 / B78X, meaning sometimes they will use the B788 OR sometimes they will use the B78X, depending on the day)

  2. An airline that has the same destination mentioned twice with different aircraft means that those routes use every aircraft on different flights to the same destination. (For example, AA flies the B738 to PHX, but they also fly the B38M to PHX, both daily on different flights)

This is ace pal, when I get to MSY I’ll be making use of this

Looks very nice :slightly_smiling_face: A good place for this would be WIKI (from players to players) > Real Routes Wiki, and there isn’t an MSY thread there yet either.

We would be hesitant to provide wiki editor privileges, simply due to how new your account is, but this is really good! Are you interested in having this moved into the wiki? The downside of that is that I’m not sure you will still be able to edit it, so if not it’s no problem.

No worries, I totally understand, forum privileges can be easily abused.

Where I stand with this is that I want this to be able to help as many people as possible, and be easily accessible.

(Pardon me if this isn’t how the wiki works, I’m new to using forums) I know there is a Wiki Directory section that contains realistic routes for a few other airports, and I was wondering, instead of just straight-up adding this to that page, which would turn the post into a wiki post, would it be possible to just provide a link to this post in the wiki section, that way it can still be edited and updated and remain as General Discussion? I don’t know if that’s possible, I just thought I would ask.

Glad to hear people are enjoying this, thank you for the support!

That would actually be a great solution!

Edit: done!

Guide has been updated for April 2026!

Whilst I was updating this, I truly saw how bad the bankruptcy and business struggles for Spirit have been, I genuinely removed almost half of Spirit’s routes that they had only a few months ago, and for almost all of the routes they still have, they fly lower-capacity aircraft on now. It’s honestly pretty sad.

MSY is going to look empty without Spirit!

they arent going to be removing spirit, which is very nice.

@Tanman, could you please do realistic routes and gates for IAD please?

Yeah, I can totally do that! I won’t be able to completely do the realistic stand/gate assignments yet, just because of how unrealistic IADs currently are layout is, but I’ll still see what I can do.

The realistic contract side of thing should be pretty straightforward.

There already exists one: IAD - Realistic Flight Routes

That would be great, thanks @Tanman

@Philipp00 I did find that, thanks.

Actually I see what you mean how the gates aren’t realistic yet, so no pressure on doing it. I’d rather ask for you to do it after a realistic IAD remodel than now.
