Could/should the new Scheduling System be used to minimize taxiing time and optimize total handling time? I mean, assign F planes to always use the Gates with the shortest taxi time?
If not, the new Scheduling System main objective is….?

Main objective is that it should send aircraft to gates automatically you scheduled them too, but doesn’t seem to be the case.

Main objective system isntr for taxi times. The main objective is to organise arrivals and departures and make your airport effecient. Taxi times are already included in the round trip and times on the airport.

The aircraft we have in the planning system will be marked with a blue dot at the stand. The previously planned aircraft under the tower have a white dot. You can see this in the pictures.
Aircraft planned in the planning system have a blue dot next to the stand number instead of the white dot, so you know which contracts are already using the planning system. I just figured that out for myself because I initially thought it wouldn’t work at all. But that’s because the contracts had already been assigned to stands by the AI.

Check the aircraft that’s meant to be landing next at same gate, I also have over 100 contracts missing. Sadly the flight system is broken if it can only handle one flight, also none of them are green which shows they aren’t saved.

Thanks! Yeah! I want to make my airports as efficient as possible, but I still don’t understand how to do that with the new system.
So you are right, I also notice that the new planning system does not work, the aircraft are still not at the planned position from the planning system

Do you use delivery manager? As that sends them to random gates, but yeah the missing aircraft that should be landing isn’t, and then the other aircraft meant to be going to those gates can’t because of the missing aircraft it’s bit of a mess tbh seems like it’s only design to have one aircraft at one gate only. So no idea if patch would work or flight schedule will have to be redesigned again.

Yeah I don’t use that at Heathrow as I like correct airlines at the right terminals and that selects them randomly.

…and even if you would use the scheduling system on that, it will send the same flights to the same gate everytime - unfortunately thats not my idea of “scheduling” and makes it not realistic + boring in a way… thats just my own opinion, but im out in case of that new tool and will play on the old way

At least it’s still correct terminal 
And some aircraft do use same gates like Loganair only use the remote stands at terminal 2 because you have to pay extra if you want use the jetbridges.
but even using same gates it’s broken.

Also only way this work is if the flight schedule was based on terminals or parking stand numbers and then it randomly selects gate in that terminal/ parking area.
