There are a few empty stands that are not being used at the moment. The developers created this empty stands for future extension.
Does anyone know if that project in the works for San airport?
Not aware of any changes to existing airports coming. SAN was adjusted from normal operations to be able to keep the camera angles to one side. But I’m not aware of any project currently underway to alter or expand the footprint of any current airport
Agreed. That said - I think it would be good if some of these empty areas had some static aircraft placed (similar to the vintage area in Prague or the ATR at INN.
There are vast swathes of space in IAD and MCT for example that could have static non active planes - nice bit of scenery.
