Notes on "coming soon" from support (via discord)

Saw this and thought it might be worth sharing as I’ve not seen mention of it elsewhere on here.
(yes, I joined the discord just to see if there is /was news on the 3.0 release)

NOTE: I can’t do chinese, so assume this is from a while back, hence 3.0 is in “next months”

Interesting… wonder how Beijing will be seeing that it’s a pretty large airport

Yea and I love how the main terminal looks like with its shine from the sun

I can do some, if you have any problem in understanding Chinese you can let me have a look.

The response was on JAN/16/2025 as per the email so yeah it should arrive in 2026.

I don’t know which airport they will do. There are two, PEK and PKX. I suggest they would do PKX as there are 4 runways (very similar config like IAD) and the terminal looks stunning in architecture. But if they do PEK that is also a good idea, there are 3 runways working independently, the Terminal 3 looks good as well and it shows a history of the airport expansion.

Glad to see they have an idea on the Chinese region (since I have sort of connection with people/business partners/family there even I live in Australia now) although access to the game is restricted by the Great Fire Wall, and I know a lot of good players from the region.

This region is famous for very large airports due to local governments spotlight on infrastructures. Since I know HKG is on their list (I don’t feel they can do CAN due to the proximity), maybe they can do other massive airports rather compact in size, like PVG (5 runways, in the east, with Terminal 3 in construction), CKG (4 runways, in the west and almost at the final phase and this is something very unique for Chinese airports), URC (3 runways, in the northwest and recently finished an expansion project) to enhance the connection.

Well, As someone who lives in Beijing, I’m very happy to know that the development team has at least considered this gateway city in northern China, which boasts two beautiful airports, with Daxing Airport often cited as a prime example in global airport design!
