[Other] - Better night lighting

:bullseye: What is your suggestion?
The current night lighting is incredibly unrealistic, not necessarily in design but simply in the colors. The following images were taken at HKG and ZRH IRL, and while of course they were edited slightly, it gives a sense of the color scheme. The tones tend to lean more yellow and orange, not green and blue, and the intensity of lighting is absurd ingame. City lights are usually much brighter than airport ground lighting, but this is not the case ingame.

the following images, meanwhile, show the ingame lighting, which is WAY too green and blue.

:hammer_and_wrench: How would it work in the game?
massively reduce the brightness of all ground lights, runway and taxiway both, and increase the brightness and orange-ness of the lights mounted on lightpoles.

:balance_scale: Why is this a good idea?
Better realism and graphics.

I think this depends on whether or not the airport is willing to pay to install LED lights, but it could be implemented for some airports that do look like that.

even at LED airports, it is never even close to as vivid, bright, green as this, and the terminal pole-mounted lights are always brighter

Yeah I agree with this one. I appreciate that the devs have been working on the lights, but as a pilot myself, we barely even see the blue taxiway edge lights and green taxiway lights from the air, because in reality, they are relatively dim. The most prominent ones are usually the orange/white runway edge lights, the approach lighting system, and then any facility and ramp lighting.

I think the way to fix this would be to turn down the brightness of the taxiway lights, and make the runway and ALS lights WAYYYY brighter and “Orange-er” if that’s a word
