[Other] - BKK Airport Visual & Realism Upgrade Suggestions

:bullseye: What is your suggestion?
I would like to propose several visual improvements to make BKK Airport more realistic:

  • Improve main terminal glass color to match real-life darker tone
  • Add blue lighting to “SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT” sign and terminal structure
  • Improve transfer baggage terminal details
  • Animate surface movement radar (should rotate like in real life) and improve its details to better match real-world appearance
  • Update aerobridge advertising to current version
  • Improve Airport Rail Link visuals

:hammer_and_wrench: How would it work in the game?
These would be visual enhancements only and would not affect gameplay. They would improve the overall look and realism of the airport.

:balance_scale: Why is this a good idea?
These changes would improve realism and immersion, making BKK feel closer to real life and more consistent with other high-quality airports.

1.The glass in the main terminal does not accurately reflect its real-life appearance. In reality, the glass has a darker, almost black tone that contrasts beautifully with the white roof structure. Adjusting this would significantly improve realism.

2.In real life, the airport sign is illuminated with strong blue lighting, along with blue structural lighting across the terminal. This is especially noticeable at night and would greatly enhance visual quality in-game.

It would be great to see this added to BKK in the game, similar to how it’s done in BRI, as it would make the airport feel much more realistic and visually impressive.

3.Transfer Baggage Terminal Also Needs Improvement The real terminal building has a lot of interesting details that aren’t reflected in the current in-game version.

3.The surface movement radar should be animated and able to rotate. Not just at BKK, but this should really be implemented across all airports.

Even though it’s a small detail, it adds a lot to the overall realism. It’s something that’s already been done nicely in PRG and SYD, and it would be great to see the same level of detail applied everywhere.

4.The aerobridge advertising has now been updated to Trip.com Personally, I don’t mind the previous version—it actually looked quite nice.

However, for those who care about realism, it would be great to have it updated to reflect the current real-life version.

5.The Bangkok Airport Rail Link is currently just a visual element and doesn’t affect gameplay. However, in my opinion, it doesn’t feel as realistic compared to the trains at other airports. I do hope it gets improved in the future to better match the level of realism seen at other airports as well.

Something eerily familiar about the train there ,

OMG, I’m actually surprised it’s the same model used in the UK!:joy: Do the doors on the Class 360 there close as loudly as in Thailand? Because here, when the doors close, you can hear it from like two stations away hahaha.

I’ve not been on them myself but it reminded me of something I’d seen down South. Likely noisy though as per British built stuff lol
