What is your suggestion?
Return to unbuilt terminals and parts thereof being invisible.
How would it work in the game?
It used to be that (parts of) terminals that a player had not built/bought yet were invisible. One would see them in yellow highlight when the builder menu was active, but not otherwise.MCT is an example of this. If players only want to build the first part of the terminal (per real life), they can. It even looks nicely finished without a hole where the rest of the projected terminal would attach.
(I wish we could unlock the extended ramps for actual realism.)Terminal 2 in HKG is an example of how it should not be. Even when the player hasn’t built it yet, there is a concrete eyesore in scaffolding to be seen at all times.
Also, T2 is imagined to be a double Y shape after future expansion. For now though, only one half will be realised. Looking for some realism in WoA the most you get is half of T2 looking good with a concrete skeleton attached.
(Not fussing about there being more than half of T2 in game vs rl. Devs can’t predict everything when making airports ahead of reality. It would just be nice to build partwise.)
Why is this a good idea?
It offers players the chance to stick to more realistic scenarios, rather than either being forced to build something or to try to ignore a premature construction site.
