What is your suggestion?
Have pushback be purchasable along with other equipment like stairs and baggage carts.
How would it work in the game?
option 1: after boarding is complete, the walkaround is started and the jetbridge is removed, you get an option to attach pushback, this will be done by the automatic handler, or yourself if it’s not activated. During this time the clock is still running as pushback is part of the handling process. Once the walk around is done and the pushback is attached to the aircraft, the handling is finished and you get the finish handling button that the crew will finish automatically or you can when they’re not activated. Then pushback can commence. This option is more centered on realistic handling.
option 2: After the plane is handled, you still finish handling so it won’t count as a delay. But then for planes that need pushback, you got an additional button for pushback and if there’s enough purchased, it will appear like it normally does. If not, it needs to wait for another aircraft to finish to get the pushback like it would with any other equipment.
Option 1 could also bring the opportunity to add more time to the handling for longer ground time
Why is this a good idea?
Would bring realism to the game. Airports/handlers all have pushback and they are limited just like any other equipment. Usually at bigger airports, when a plane is delayed on the ground, it loses its pushback slot and needs to wait for another one. This will also prevent multiple planes pushing back at once limiting long taxi/departure queues. This could also bring the idea of more power out taxi for airports like for SXM, SYD, BRI and anywhere else it could benefit.
