The ability to transfer aircraft from 1 airport to another, this would only be available to airports you own.
How would it work in the game?
This could work as a “ferry flight” so you choose the aircraft at SYD for example and select ferry flight, and select the location of BKK.
The ferry flight would be like any other flight so it would not be instant. This could be a limited amount per day or week etc.
Why is this a good idea?
It’s a good way to move your fleet around.
Could also be a good way to get a headstart on a new airport but not too much of a headstart provided it was a limited number of Ferry flights per day/3 days/week, whichever is logical.
Ferry flights are a very common occurence with airlines around the world whether it be ferrying for maintenance or re-positioning to another HUB- i think this would be a valuable inclusion to the game.
Another possibility with this could be that when purchasing aircraft, they have to ferry to your airport from the manufacturer base ie Boeing- Seattle, Airbus- Toulouse etc.
I used to think transfer of planes was a “must” but now feel like I resonate more with @DHC8 there is little value in it, unless there is some sort of balancing affect (planes that have a limited number of maintenance and then decommissioned, etc.) because there is very little you can “lose” money on in this game. Once you buy a large fleet and have a lot of peer connections.. what stops you from sending like 20 A380 to each new airport?
