What is your suggestion?
Clearly describe your idea or the change you’re proposing.
the system that picks contracts should truly make contract rolling entirely random, not just selecting the leftmost contract from an airline at a certain destination if available
How would it work in the game?
Explain how this would be implemented from a gameplay or UI perspective.
when rolling for or generating a contract, the system picks a truly random contract from a destination.
example:
destination: ORD
airline: American Airlines
available aircraft: CRJ2, CRJ7, A319, A320
the current randomizing system would pick the CRJ2, then the CRJ7, and so on. however this new system would pick, for example, the A319, then the CRJ2, then the A320, and finally the CRJ7 when randomized. it wouldn’t be in that exact order, of course, since the first contract picked from that destination could be the CRJ7, the A320, or the CRJ2, basically either of the four available compared to the current “always the leftmost contract picked,” the CRJ2.
Why is this a good idea?
What improvement would this bring? Better usability, realism, fun factor, accessibility?
it adds realism to all airports since airports like INN wouldn’t be flooded with Austrian Q400s, BRI with Alitalia E170s, and US airports with Delta and United CRJ2s, including Contour E135s. it’d open up airports not just to gazillions of regional jets, but an adequate balance between regional, narrow body aircraft, and wide body aircraft.
