  2. Why?: Why not!? I think it’s a good size medium airport with dual runways that could round off the West Coast without adding the complexity that is SEA. It has plenty of domestic traffic along with some nice large international sprinkles (Condor A339, BA B78X, etc,) AND it has a large amount of cargo traffic too. As mentioned elsewhere on the forum, it also has an Oregon ANG detachment on the South side of the airfield that could at the least add some cool scenery or Easter egg with their F-15s. Lastly, it’s right on the river next to down town Portland with beautiful terrain, a view of Mt St Helen’s and Mt Hood, and a cool red tram/light-rail service.
