:chart_increasing: Airport Type & Size
It is one of two international hub airports serving Beijing, the capital of China. The airport now features a 700,000 m2 terminal (T1), one of the world’s largest single-building airport terminal, four runways (RWY 01L/19R, 17L/35R, 17R/35L, 11L/29R) supporting all type of commercial airplanes, and sits on 47 km2 (18 sq mi) of land. The first phase of the airport is designed with a target of 72 million passengers per year, 2 million tons of cargo and mail. There is a satelite concourse and a south terminal (T2) in the planning. The airport won awards for best hygiene measures and best in size and region in 2020, and both awards plus Voice of the Customer in 2021 by Airports Council International.

:vertical_traffic_light: Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
It’s one of the latest large airport with most modernized design. The terminal building was designed by British architects Zaha Hadid Architects, French planners ADPI and partners. It consists of a central hub with six curved spokes, which is quite unique and different with existing old-looking airports in the game.
It has diverse airlines (China Southern, China Eastern, Air China and many low cost airlines), domestic and international flight routes (though not as rich as PEK airport).

We are truly grateful for the incredible interest from our Chinese community β€” including hundreds of new forum accounts overnight.

It shows how much you care about World of Airports, and we deeply appreciate it.

At the same time, we must honestly share that repeated attempts to disrupt the integrity of the game β€” almost exclusively coming from the Chinese player base β€” have forced us to divert much of our team’s focus away from developing new content.

As a result, many accounts had to be banned, and progress on exciting projects like Chinese airports has been delayed.

World of Airports is a free game and will always remain so, which is why attacks aimed at gaining unfair advantages make little sense to us.

If we can find a path toward mutual respect and cooperation, it will free up our energy for growth β€” and certainly open the way for Chinese airports to become part of the game.

Thank you for being part of our journey!
