Ah yes, competition on a route I’ve been running for a year now
Let the war begin

Now for an actual story:

a new order

This morning during a conference of Horsepower staff, several aircraft orders were announced
25 Airbus a330-800neo with option for 25 more
25 Kanamori K500, 600, and 700 with options for 75 more
And 50 De Haviland DHC6, Dash 8 Q200, 300, and 400 aircraft with no option for more. Most Q200s are bound for Teton link. All Twin otter are bound for the recently formed Horsepower Thailand

These new aircraft are expected to help cover areas with lacking demand as well as fill out the new hub. The long haul aircraft are expected to be running high frequency routes, such as LAX-SYD, which will be upgraded from a once daily to a quad daily once delivery of the Kanamori aircraft commences.

Fly International Lessors has announced a massive order for 200 aircraft. The order is split between Boeing and Airbus, and is composed of 130 firm orders, 30 options, and 40 undisclosed aircraft. Boeing will sell 20 of each 787 variant, and 20 each of the 777-300ER and 777LF. FIL will also, interestingly, secure 20 options on the 777-200LR. Airbus, meanwhile, has obtained orders for 30 A350-900s, which are planned to be operated exclusively from SYD to IAD by Flyer Airways. Finally, airbus picked up 10 options on the A321NX. There are also 40 undisclosed orders, although based on the cost, they are likely to be either 747s or A380s. The aircraft have all been placed with Flyer Airways, and are expected to be based at SYD and BKK.

Another company? Really?

Horsepower air announced during the conference that a new company would be launching, and it’s official launch just happened

What is it? Air restaurant. It’s a program that restaurants local to a specific city, or just not a chain restaraunt, can join and cater for flights in various airlines which will be gaining the service over the next few months.

The first restaurants to join this are the following: (homebase airport)
The Snakebite Restaraunt (IDA)
The Firehouse Grill (IDA)
Island Prime (SAN)
And Mach 2 (SYD)

These feww were chosen for the following reason
Snakebite: Voted Best Burger in Idaho Falls
Firehouse: unknown reason (presumed to be because it was the CEO of horsepower’s first job, but that’s only a rumor
Island Prime: known for good seafood
Mach 2: good food and easy access to the airport (it’s literally inside the airport)

The first airlines to use this service will be:
Horsepower airlines
Qantas
And Delta
But, there are a few other rumors that are circulating
Alaska (assumed because of SAN base)
Eco Aviation (rumored but not confirmed)
Tranquility alliance airlines (assumed but not confirmed)
AWA members (rumored but not confirmed by any higher authority in either horsepower or the alliance)
Flexi members (again, rumored but not confirmed by highers)

The future of this company seems bright, but many think it will flop due to the higher frequency the restaraunt will need to operate.

SYD Luggage handler falsely suspected of sexual impropriety

Today an employee, working at SYD Airport, was shortly apprehended by the Sydney Police on the charge of sexual impropriety. An anonymous caller said she overheard the luggage handler stating that he “had 3 virgins last evening”.

After explaining that he was loading and unloading 3 airplanes of the airline Virgin Australia that evening, showing his Airport Admittance Pass and a picture of him at work, he was quickly released.
