CEO Orange Air offers apologies for delayed MCT Cargo services

Recent changes in the plane classifications by the “WOA Authority” has caused major concerns with the level of Cargo services at the Orange Air hubs. This reclassification has as a result that the mainstay M (now D) B752F’s can not be serviced at the old cargogates/stands.

At MCT 5 M stands (now classified C) are rendered useless and services has to be shifted to the 3 DEF stands remaining. As Orange Air also operates a large DE cargo fleet and welcomes a lot of DEF cat planes a huge backlog is in the making.

The CEO isn’t certain that turn around time can be within reasonable timeframes and offers apologies for possible inconveniences to the connection partners who has contracts with MCT at the moment.

With currently no cat C cargoplanes (with the legs to reach player airports) on purchase, it might be that Orange Air Cargo operations will be closed down completely so that player contracts still can be serviced.

This we won’t see again.

Today a total of 2 Horsepower super transport Airbus Beluga XLs and 1 Antonov Ruslan were moved to Sao Paolo in Brasil for reasons that are still currently unknown. Many think that horsepower will be expanding their operation to the airport, others think it could be a contract that company had received. Information will be shared as we receive it.

helping an old friend

In recent news of Mesa’s lawsuit against JJet, Horsepower Airlines has announced they will be helping JJet in the suit, the CEO stating that “[JJet] have been using that livery for years, and only just now Mesa has a problem? It’s a situation I don’t agree with and I don’t beleive JJet should be forced to change the identity they have had for years.” Horsepower airlines has said they will also be covering routes for the airline if needed.

S7 Airlines: A New Flight Path

In 2025, S7 Airlines announced a major rebranding, marking the beginning of a new era in its history. The first aircraft to receive the new livery was the Airbus A321neo, which has already been painted and was officially unveiled at a presentation, signaling the start of the airline’s image transformation.

New Livery and Cabin
The updated livery follows a minimalist design: deep green gradually transitions into a bright green (lime)gradient, emphasizing the brand’s dynamic and modern identity. The vertical stabilizer features a refined new logo, and the overall appearance is cleaner and more futuristic.

The cabin has also undergone changes:

Business class now offers fully reclining seats with improved soundproofing and personal 4K screens.

Economy class features ergonomic RECARO seats with increased legroom and a mood lighting system, creating a comfortable atmosphere throughout the flight.

— A new Inflight Entertainment (IFE) system is available even in economy class, with content accessible on personal devices via onboard Wi-Fi.

Focus on Long-Haul and Cargo Operations

S7 is focusing on the development of both long-haul passenger and cargo services by adding the following aircraft to its fleet:

Boeing 777-300ER — a reliable wide-body aircraft that will operate on high-traffic routes such as London, Washington, and Sydney. Its capacity and range make it ideal for intercontinental routes connecting Europe, North America, and Oceania.

Boeing 777F (77LF and 77WF) — modern cargo variants that will allow S7 Airlines to enter the global logistics market. These aircraft provide high payload capacity and long-range capability, meeting the demands of the global cargo sector.
S7 plans to use them for both regular freighter routes and chartered logistics operations.

Boeing 777-300ER Configuration

The airline has selected a comfortable three-class configuration for its long-haul flights:

— Business Class: 1-2-1 (direct aisle access for each passenger).

— Comfort Class: 2-4-2 (enhanced space and improved service).

— Economy Class: 3-4-3 (optimized seating density without sacrificing comfort).

New Hub: Nagoya (NGO)

Earlier, S7 had suspended flights to Japan, but now they have resumed with a new focus. The airline has not only resumed its routes but also plans to begin regular flights from Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO), making it an important hub in the region. This decision expands opportunities for passengers and strengthens the airline’s strategic presence in Asia.

The Future is Already in the Air

The Airbus A321neo became the first symbol of S7 Airlines’ new phase of development. Following it will be the long-haul 777-300ER and cargo 777F, opening up new routes and business opportunities.

Throughout 2025, the airline will continue to roll out new aircraft, service solutions, and technological upgrades. With a focus on innovation, comfort, and global presence, S7 Airlines is redefining modern air travel standards. Now, every flight is not just a journey, but a step into the future of aviation.
