how to make your planes go for mantainence?

When the plane doesn’t have enough maintenance points left before a check for the entire contract, it will automatically request maintenance before the first handling (for the longest routes possible, a small check might actually be needed for a brand new plane, if it’s a player-to-player contract starting at 10 contracted handlings). Small check happens at the stand, for a large check the plane leaves the airport to simulate going to a service facility.

Major News!
JJet Group have the order for 20 E-175s (14 this year) to help the E-190 and CRJs with short haul, but now they’ve made yet another order! This time for 737-800s for higher demand domestic routes! They’ve also put the Alliance Livery on 2 E-190 aircraft, the 2 aircraft tend to operate to Seattle and Vancouver, busy airports to give the alliance as much exposure as possible!

hey look we can share a hub :slightly_smiling_face:

Pressure On JJet
JJet have ramped up competition with Belgium Airlines, despite being in the same alliance, JJet have purchased Republic Airways, with this the airline taking on over 120 E-175 aircraft, JJet say ‘this is a big threat to the airline, we are focused on building our domestic market to stay a contender for the US’s best airline. After that we will focus on international services. So far we only have around 10 international routes. With half of those in the continent, we need to win over the domestic market, we will do anything. That’s why we will focus on not just our home in DC, but San Diego (our upcoming hub) and possibly an airport in the south in the coming months.’

New operations

Outback link announced today that it would expand it’s cargo operations with an order of 15 E190f and 5 E195F aircraft. These mid-range cargo planes will “bridge the gap between the A321Fs and the B463Fs”
The planes are expected to be delivered in 2027 and begin operation within the following months.

big competitors, big problems
With JJet and Belgium airlines ramping up operations, Horsepower Airlines must follow, with the express branch ramping up flights around the country. On top of this, horsepower express has begun a refurbishment process on old CRJ2 and CRJ7 aircraft, with their interiors expected to be more comfortable and also more economical. They are expected to be put back into service in Late July of this year.

Statement regarding competition with Belgium Airlines, Jjet and Horsepower Airlines.

counter-statement

"Horsepower airlines was formed in Idaho Falls, Idaho, launching with a few small flights out of the previously regional airport. It was in the 90s that we grew and over the 2000s we’ve grown to what we are now.

My point of saying this that we have been in the US since we began, we will not stand back and watch our home terrority be encroched by these international airlines that are buying out regional airlines that we have been in a fragile balance with for many years.

With that, I propose a deal. JJet and Belgium airlines back off, not completely, just lessen service, and Horsepower will do the same. We do not want to worsen relations, but this is pushing it too far, further than Sydney pushed it."
-CEO of Horsepower Airlines

“Eco’s statement of bring their ‘feared’ high capacity planes is a dull threat, no person wants to fly a cramped aircraft, we at horsepower know this as fact because of our previous experience in this market. This is why we strive for comfort on board our aircraft. Threatening to leave the US brings nothing to this. If want to leave, do so.”
-COO of Horsepower Airlines

JJet Respond
JJet’s CEO has put out a statement regarding the proposal that Horsepower Airlines put out yesterday.
“JJet will ramp down operations, but we have already made agreements with the Indiana based carrier Republic, we now are due to receive over 200 E-170 and E-175 aircraft, our proposal, is you let us make this deal, but we will only take the E-175s, and won’t send any aircraft to your home in Idaho Falls.”

delays and cancelations

Hundreds of delays and multiple cancelations in IAD as many major airlines are threatened by looming tornadoes. Horsepower airlines, JJet, Ecoaviation and many more were trying to get planes out as fast as they could, with the control tower only able to use one runway due to the weather.

At almost midnight the airport was finally able to fully reopen, the delays being handled by around 3 AM.

lesser service
Horsepower airlines backs off their service, complying with the deal they proposed after JJet followed suit. The airline cancelled it’s contract with the now JJet owned Republic airways, taking back around 40 ERJ170 and 175 aircraft and operating the aircraft under their contract with Skywest.

Market Gap

The LeChonk group has recently been seeking out a third hub in America to serve rising demand within America, they had previously stated interest in New Orleans but the plan was shot down due to its lack of long haul capacity compared to their IAD and SAN hubs. Despite this they have made a surprise deal with MSY to start operations as the first American LeChonk Group cargo hub. The group had stated previous success with a European cargo hub in LEJ but amid rising demand and airport staff strikes in Germany a decision was made for a new hub to be created.

The hub was started earlier this week when a LeChonk Boeing 747-800F was seen taxiing to the cargo terminal after a long flight from LHR. The LeChonk group plans to have a long range fleet to serve cross continental routes between GRU, LEJ, and LHR but has also placed orders for over 20 Boeing 737-800F to serve short haul routes.

Despite the unexpected opening this hub serves as a strategic move for the group as multiple other airlines such as Horsepower airlines, Jjet, Eco aviation, and Belgium Airlines have engaged in high competition over regional pax flights due to multiple acquisitions of smaller American Airlines. This competition has brought focus away from cargo routes causing a gap in the market for American cargo flights which LeChonk has taken advantage of.

JJet Europa to have another try
JJet Europa have been quietly operating a sole ATR43 from LEJ-LCY, the subsidiary of the JJet Group has been losing money on this route, but this subsidiary is vital for the JJet group, with loads of competition in the USA JJet need another market, this is why they have decided to open another hub, this time back to where it all began, in Bari Italy. The airline has always had buildings in the US and UK, but the airlines first routes were in bari, with twin otters around Italy, the airline will take some of JJets newly acquired E-175 jets for these inter italian routes. The new hub is due to open on July 1st with lots of preparations to take place prior to the first flight.
