Why should this airline be added?
Founded in January 2002 in Belém, Brazil, initially operating as a charter and air taxi service focused on regional routes in the Amazon area, Puma Air Linhas Aéreas was a Brazilian airline that operated primarily as a regional carrier in northern Brazil, with its main hub at Belém’s Val de Cans International Airport with a fleet consisting of turboprop aircraft like the C208 & E120 and a sole narrow-body jet airliner, the Boeing 737-300, with destinations to Brazilian cities in Macapá, Fortaleza and São Paulo. In May 2011, Puma Air suspended all flights due to the unscheduled grounding of its sole Boeing 737-300 for maintenance, with theNational Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) responding by suspending the aircraft’s airworthiness certificate for 60 days following inspections that uncovered irregularities, intensifying regulatory scrutiny. By August 2011, the airline had fully ceased operations, unable to secure funds for resumption .
