Potential airlines/liveries for Sydney

Figured I’d make an alphabetical list of airlines/liveries that could be added to Sydney.

This will be primarily new carriers operating in the South Pacific. This is NOT a full list of every livery/airline that has ever been to Sydney. Please do not expect that. Thanks

Additionally, none of these liveries have been confirmed to be added yet.

Great summary! Thanks for your work!

Are you sure that e.g. Air New Zealand At76, Cebu Pacific A319, Cathay Pacific A320 reach SYD? I haven’t looked or checked if they are “realistic routes”.

Edit:

Found this!

Idk if Qantas 78X will be added since it hasn’t officially been delivered to Qantas yet

Nope. I am absolutely not sure :joy:
Sorry if I forgot to include a note on range for some of them.

But considering the game sometimes takes creative liberties with aircraft range, I personally think it’d be fine.

Edit: having looked at a map, you’re probably right. Not too sure about those anymore. The closest I could find was a Jetstar A320 to DPS.

Since I’m curious now, we can do some quick math (approx. figures)
HKG - SYD = 3900 nmi
CEB - SYD = 3000 nmi
A320 range: 3300 nmi
A319 range: 3700 nmi
A20N range: 3750 nmi
A21N range: 4000 nmi
So HKG is just barely not possible, but CEB/Philippines definitely is

True, but that’s not unprecedented. Hawaiian B789s have been in the game long before they were actually delivered, for example.

But I think range for Generic contracts is not important. Like a Kuwaiti C17 can be a contract at NGO but when we buy a C17 it can barely go to Indian destinations. Let alone in the middle east.

Yep, was my thinking as well

Also a Fiji airways airways a330 is available from lhr even when irl Fiji airways is nowhere close to that range

That’s true, but perhaps this will be corrected at some point or even realistically depicted as landing somewhere in between. I don’t think A320s can fly from anywhere in Asia to SYD.

But then I’m already wishing for the A350F for the A350 rework! Airbus confirmed the production.

It’d be nice to get with the A350 rework but I don’t think they were confirmed. I think Qantas Freight has them on order?

They were confirmed to be coming when it enters service irl. It was mentioned in their first post showing the model

Bingo. Found the reference:

Well seeing as from LHR you can have a BA B788 to Melbourne and Sydney which it can’t in real life, so anything possible with the game just not with your own fleet.

I still assume that is a mistake. Why would they only make B788s available and not the whole B787 fleet?

None of us know which airports are coming after SYD and which aircraft models are relevant.

Yeah that is a mistake, even the B789 wouldn’t be able to do it. Only aircraft they should have do it is Qantas A350.

They did run one flight with a 789, but I’m gonna assume the flight was empty.

Funny thing is, even a standard A350 can’t make that jump. Qantas had to custom order A35Ks with extra fuel tanks and higher MTOW to make it work.

Correct only had few press onboard and Sam Chui.
