Service Time Increased After Adding Crew Member
Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well.
I noticed something while servicing one of my aircraft and wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this or if I might be misunderstanding the mechanics.
I was handling a QantasLink DH8B, and it showed a requirement of 3 crew members. After hiring one additional crew member, I expected the service time to decrease. However, the service time actually increased instead.
I am not sure if this is intended behavior or possibly a bug.
If anyone has noticed something similar or understands how this works, I would really appreciate your insight. It would also be helpful if the developers could clarify this.
Thank you
The ramp agent does not change handling speed, only manages auto-handling. As for the delay, it is most likely caused by the ambulift being required on both sides of handling. Ambulift can sometimes make it impossible to hit the time requirement, even on max crew. This is annoying but reflects reality lol
I see recent post of one of the player in the game page group he said same thing in IAD I show you those photos here and below the photo someone mention this thing happened in Innsbruck Airport too. So it’s a glitch.
now one of the Player in the game mention this happen in Innsbruck but we are ng about Sydney Airport. Someone mention this problem in Innsbruck Airport after that player updated his status on IAD . Look if you think I’m lie to you .
As you can see in the screenshot, that plane requires ambulift service on both deboarding and boarding. Some planes have only a small margin between how long handling without ambulifts takes and the handling limit, meaning with the addition of the ambulift service the time limit gets overrun. That’s when this issue occurs. As the ambulift wasn’t in the game from the start, the handling time limits don’t account for it.
A possible solution would be handling limit increase/handling time revision, as @DHC8 suggests, until that happens (if ever), this issue will keep happening with ambulift services and/or technical faults needing repair.
I’ve also had it happen with a B762, which also has a small difference between handling time and handling limit.
looks today once again in broad day light I see this message appears on my screen . The same Qantaslink Aircraft with full 3 crew members and I hire one Ramp agent to handling the service and I see again time not decrease but it’s increase .
You said this issue occur just because of ambulift time next time I will show you only handling this Aircraft only this one with full capacity of ambulift time. And send you screenshot or video then tell me where is the problem dear friend.
The Ambulift is why the timer runs over, ultimately resulting in a delayed departure. The larger aircraft have enough time to factor in for an Ambulift whereas the smaller aircraft don’t.
If you have an Ambulift once during an aircraft’s turnaround, on time departures are possible, having two during a turnaround is what the timer doesn’t seem to account for and causes the delayed departure. Most larger aircraft already had enough slack in the handling time limit to factor this in, as it’s important to remember the maximum allowed turn around times were made with the aircraft, before Ambulifts and Maintenance crews were added to the game.
I guarantee you that the next time it occurs the plane will either require two ambulifts (arrival + departure), or it will require technical repair.
I’m not saying you’re making the issue up or anything, I’m just explaining what is causing the issue, and that is indeed the time limit on certain plane types not accounting for the ambulift/repair services which were only added to the game recently.
Yes, it happens that you can run out of time.
Yes, it can be considered a bug.
And yes, the root cause seems to be the time limit not being adjusted for these new services.
I don’t know how to make this clearer - no need to provide more proof, nobody in this thread said you’re lying, we’re just explaining the most likely cause of the issue. I don’t know why are you getting so defensive.
