You may notice that Prague Airport (PRG) in World of Airports has two runways — but only one is active during gameplay.
Why can’t I use both runways?
In reality, the two runways at Prague Airport (06/24 and 12/30) intersect each other.
Because of this crossing layout, they cannot be operated simultaneously for independent arrivals and departures.
World of Airports follows the real-world procedures:
• Only one runway is active at a time to ensure safe and realistic operations.
• Activating both would cause conflicts and unsafe situations, just like at the real airport.
Realism First
We aim to simulate the real behavior of each airport as closely as possible — including operational restrictions like runway crossing at PRG.
This adds an extra layer of strategy when managing traffic flow!
Could this change in the future?
In real life, Prague Airport has long-term plans to build a parallel runway (06R/24L) that would allow true simultaneous operations.
If those plans become reality, we may update the game to reflect the new layout in a future version.
Until then, operations at PRG will remain based on the current real-world configuration.
Thanks for managing your airport with realism in mind!
