Still wishing they would land one at my airport, but no, they sending the 4th a319 this week instead
Yea. Hope when i go in april i’ll get to see one
Still don’t know weather I’m driving from Atlanta or flying delta to ashville.
It will be great to see it in the game on IAD or SAN or SXM
Good news in the aviation industry today, after the long wait the a321xlr has officially made its first long haul flight today with Iberia flying from Madrid to Boston, around a nine hour flight. This will hopefully be the first of many with this aircraft(I will miss the 757 though ) as more airlines will receive this aircraft next year starting with Aer Lingus and Wizz air. Others that will hopefully receive it next year include United, American, Qantas, Air Canada, and VietJet. Are you exited for this new change, or would you rather fly on the good ol’ widebodies?
One advantage for narrowbody long haul flights vice widebodies which I’ve never seen mentioned is less queues at the border, never flown transatlantic but considering you normally have a load of flights arriving at once I’d say it’s an advantage to people making connections or in a hurry, vice say being sat towards the back of a nearly full 777.
Same style of cabin as a larger plane with one less aisle, although widebodies are always interesting.
I know right! There is always just some vibe widebodies always give you that you just cant find on any narrowbody…
Always fun to get widebodies on short haul flights, or the narrowbodies with long haul cabins.
What is that airline?
Omni air
wow
I saw this plane 2 times now
Can you please try and not post one word responses? I believe you have been told about this numerous times before. Far easier for you to like the post than it is to respond with one word. Keeps the thread nice and tidy as well.
ok sure
Hope we get A321XLR in the game soon.
Probably been on that exact plane once or maybe even twice
Tbh i’d still rather fly the widebodys. I feel like it’s fine with widebodys as if you look at flights from the London area to the New York area you already have like 15+ flights a day. So adding more flexibility with double the aircraft there just isn’t the slots at JFK for that. (EWR probably could handle it) if you know what i mean…
But then it also has pluses like indi will have service to dublin next year as the XLR has the right capacity needed. Overall i’d rather widebodys but i’ll take any aircraft
Not seen this mentioned anywhere, but it seems the Icelandair 757-300s (which got retired late last month) are still in service, albeit it a bit more random than when they were in regular use.
Condor too from what I’d seen on some arrival/departure boards.
Condor ones are in service until the end of next summer it seems.
