Alright maties! Photo dump from my recent SHV-COS trip (and back). The flight(s) there weren’t bad, but it was some pretty bumpy landings owing to low-level wind shear.
First, a baby SkyWest CRJ2:
Next up, flying SHV-DFW on a 5 year-old American Eagle E75L operated by Envoy Air:
Here we can see the Int’l terminal at DFW. My second leg was aboard a 19 year-old American Eagle CRJ7 operated by SkyWest Airlines—super scratched up windows!:
Here I caught a glimpse of Clinton-Sherman Industrial Airpark, a favorite location for Boeing to test aircraft, including the recent 777-X projects!:
Obligatory picture atop Pikes Peak, Colorado, at about ~13,000 ft or ~3,960 m:
Here I caught some departures at COS:
Here’s a slick looking jetbridge at COS:
On my way back (COS-DFW) was aboard a beautiful brand new, 1 year-old American Airlines B38M. I was a day late as my flight the previous day was cancelled due to severe weather at DFW and SHV.
Caught an American Airlines A321 only 1,000 ft above our cruise altitude:
Here we have the massive and beautiful DFW airport, as seen from ~5,000-10,000 ft:
An infamous Spirit Airlines flying banana landing:
A much harder to see American Airlines A321 turning to join the approach ahead of us:
After waiting on the tarmac for 15-20 mins (our gate was occupied), I caught a glimpse of this special livery American Airlines A321 “STAND UP TO CANCER”:
Then a cute lil American Airlines A319:
While eating, I got to see a Turkish Airlines B789 pulling in, with a Cargolux B748F and American Eagle E175 in the background:
Lastly, my flight back to SHV aboard yet another brand new airplane, a 1 year-old American Eagle E75L operated by Envoy Air. Sitting upfront in First (really more like business class on these small regional jets) I had the obligatory adult drink before takeoff, and even caught a snap of the cockpit before they closed the door:
