For those who’ve not yet seen btw, major crash in Ahmedabad. First deadly crash of a 787, and first hull loss. From multiple vids onlind it appears the aircraft stalled directly after takeoff, but was struggling to climb a bit before that.

My friend told me that today
My short hop today from DFW to SAT on an American B738. It was my first go around in a LONG time—we had been vectored in for final too high and a little too fast, so we weren’t able to dive down to the runway in time. I had guessed as much before the pilot announced it.
Also some bonus pictures from at the gate and some cargo planes at SHV (WGA MD11 and B744)

SHV is one of WGA’s primary maintenance hubs. They built a new facility here a while back and have all but taken over the airport aprons with second hand MD11s. I think the decrepit appearance is just them being overhauled and or cannibalized for parts.

Welcome to Wroclaw as i took this Ryanair 737Max 8 (EI-IKD) from Rainy Ireland and into Summy Poland to visit my Grandparents and cousins. Even saw my house on departure. I also decided to bring my Tayto crisps as a something from home.

@Ecoaviation if you have grandparents in Poland, can you say something in Polish?
He probably can say the please, thank you. And some other basic stuff. Like when i go anywhere i try to learn a few words in the language, like yamas is cheers in greek. (Obviously different alphabet and stuff, how its pronounced)
Not necessarily, i can speak English, Polish, a bit of Spanish and even a little bit of Russian.
I cant say something in Polish on this device without reconfiguring my device to Polish
