Real world Aviation (sharepoint)

The price is really what forced the Concorde to be retired, it was only really affordable by celebrities and major businesses. To expensive to operate, and the AF crash put people off flying Concorde from what I’m aware

If someone wants to plan his own airport in AutoCAD here you can download the drawings for the measures of the airplanes.

Fokker VFW 614
The traffic airplane for up to 44 passengers was developed in the 60s and 70s by the united aerotechnical works in Bremen. Forerunner of A300.
The first traffic airplane after 2nd world war. 19 airplanes were built.
Length: 20.60 m
Span: 21.50 m
Start weight: 19976 kg
Reach: 1200 km
Max cruising speed: 700 km / H
Passengers: 44
A typical sign of the VFW 614 are her engines mounted above the wings. The unusual arrangement should enable the aircraft to be used on poorly paved runways This was also to prevent the engines of suction of dirt and lost parts at start, also the landing gear legs are designed to be very short and therefore stable.

There is just one of them at the Airbus facilities in Hamburg. The last active (in Germany) have been retired last year by the german Luftwaffe. Probably one or two still flying somewhere, but I don’t know if or where.

KHGR: MD, USA.

A B-17 bomber by the name of Sentimental Journey came by to visit:

People for scale*

After I visited that KHGR had a Fairchild Facility there during ww2. 1948 “flying Boxcar” was there.

After that I went to a reseteraunt inside the Jet Center. (Rider Jet Center if anyone is Curious)
I had some crab cakes. And I sat right next to the window which had an amazing view of the Apron. I will put a few photos in DM me if you want more of them.

What a Suprise A Pitts hanging from the ceiling!

A twin otter is quite uncommon at my airport haha!

Sometimes the unexpected happens! The presidential Helicoptors stopped by for lunch.
(Fun fact: the runway which is 7000 ft long can land the Presidental 747, Which rarely happens. Sometimes it can.)

This Cessna 150 is a beauty. One day I wanna fly it the colors are amazing!

My airport has a tunnel under the runway and taxiway which is amazing to drive under.

Now I wish I took a picture of the Follow me Golf Cart. Haha!

My nearest airport, Manchester (MAN) also has a tunnel going under both runways and the taxiway! It’s always interesting passing through when an aircraft is going above.

My friend’s video of a rare sight at my airport and soon to be a rare sight at all airports due to the unfortunate retirement of DAL’s 777s. This was bringing in the Los Angeles Chargers to play against the Bengals today. https://youtu.be/DIBXtGaQCGs

The CRJ900LR operated by Endeavor Air that took me to DTW from my home airport of CVG when I went to Anchorage in early August with a 737-800 pushing back in the background that was going to the same destination. (Sorry about the quality, it wouldn’t let me post a higher quality version)
