That’s great but I still prefer my fleet of models

Not to mention 2 are damaged and 33.333% of my fleet are EI’s

Those Kinder A330s, for what they are, are great

Use to have a load myself and got some from Duty Free in TFS about 7 years ago. I collect 1/400 myself, just working on an airport to display my models at the moment (already had to revert to plan B )

When I was young I used to collect the planes in airports I had like 50 but half of them are broken

Was any self assembly required? GJs quality control has been interesting on some of their more recent models. I had 2 models last year which didn’t look right, 1 dash 8 sat on a strange angle and I had an ATR where the cockpit windows were printed too low down. In comparison I got a Gemini A321neo a few weeks back, and it’s great, no issues with it

Oh your talking about Gemini quality control. This guy made a somewhat comedy show about there quality.

Yea there quality control is a S**t show right now

I remember that video, the thing is with Gemini, is brands like NG (and even JC Wings which use the Gemini moulds!) are so much better in terms of quality, variety and quite often price as well.

Saying that it’s not just model aircraft having quality control issues (ya alright Boeing?), model railways are also a sorry state of affairs. Current trend of things is triple the price and pump out utter rubbish. Since the pandemic everything has just felt like a managed decline, gone are the days of quality products being churned out in mass by mainstream manufacturers

I’m not gonna forget the Heljan 1361 that has horrendous flaws. Sam trains had did a video where he showed all the faults on this locomotive including tightening all screws and the wheels lock up

Surprisingly no! However, I got the B77LF nearly a decade ago, and the newest addition before the An-225 (which I got last year) was like 2018. So not sure about recent models outside the An-225, which being solid metal is an enormous beast to hold. I have model trains too, most Kato, some Atlas, and a couple Athearn as far as locomotives. I agree with the prices, though Scale Trains has some detail to be rivaled. It’s interesting, but I suppose not surprising that aviation enthusiasts playing this game would also be into trains as well. Though fearing @carlsberg72 may find our digression in error, I think we should drive back to plane talk

Thinking of it maybe a model sharepoint might be a worthwhile idea, who knows :joy:

If you want to have a model SharePoint just DM @carlsberg72 with your idea and see if he accepts it or not

Not going with model share points at this time. Too many threads that can be handled via the airports that you can the take screenshots at

A dreadful day for plane spotting as clouds rolled in blocking the sights of aircraft. Today I only got 1 and that is EI-GZV to Donegal in the west coast of Ireland

After I enraged the anger on the Let 410 I decided to look at the pictures I took earlier the same day and I got some really good ones which was taken between 16:39 and 17:33, the highlights I got was a few massive A330s over my house and almost missed the tiny tiny tiny little Phenom private jet

And from Austin

Landing into SEA today on an American Airlines A321-211. Quite bumpy below ~10KFT, and I think we bounced once or twice on landing before maxing out those poor breaks lol. Based on the last few landings, I can confirm the game definitely does not represent planes breaking off onto high-speed taxiways accurately. These pilots drive these planes like sports cars.

3 random ones, as all of my planespotting is done in videos, and it doesn’t like the video format here. I will take some screenshota of the videos and upload later
