No, I’ve never actually played airport madness 4 . The airport I created here has inspiration from a few airports like Beijing Daxing, Prague, and Paris Charles de Gaulle
Oh, you never played, airport madness 4 was a great hit back in 2011, 2012 but now better airport madness games have came out (especially now enjoying Airport Madness 3D V2 as a casual way to relax )
Got some more photos,
I like the Cities: skylines airports dlc but imo it’s not detailed enough, as someone I can’t remember said it’s “too complicated for non av geeks and not complicated enough for av geeks”
Well at least the triple jetways work in Cities Skylines. I forgot about this DLC but I have it myself, got it when I bought CS a couple of years ago. Uninstalled it safe space as I wanted CS2 but I’m holding fire on that and waiting for a significant sale and performance improvements. Not sure what it’s airports are like, don’t think they are as flexible as the Airport DLC.
I’m stuck playing CS1 because sadly on console CS2 got delayed 1 week before release and has been on indefinite hold for around a year now. Was a big disappointment for me at the time, had it preordered and all
I’m quite fortunate to have access to mods to make things considerably more interesting. Managed get some static aircraft mods from the Steam Workshop which turned out to function alongside the Airport DLC, so had stuff like Jet2 737s, Thomas Cook A330s and Loganair ATRs coming and going, gave the DLC that extra bit of value.
Lucky for you, my biggest complaint with this dlc is the inaccurate planes and their lack of interesting liveries. I wish they would add modding to CS1 console because it’s completely possible (FO4, Space engineers, snow runner) and playing base cities without traffic mods is a nightmare
That was one of my gripes with the DLC at first, and one reason why cross-platform mods should be more frequent (I think it is possible with CS2). Having real airlines is always a benefit, and ATC4 is another example of a game which could really use with real airlines, but I’m not exactly sure why the steam version doesn’t have them yet the Japanese version does.
At this point gta 6 is more likely to come out sooner than cs2 console
Too true, if it’s taken over a year now and still no release something tells me they knew more than a week before that the console version wouldn’t be ready. At this point it feels like they’ve just forgotten about it and are working on other stuff
Yeah I feel like the devs at paradox didn’t put their all into the game and Its a shame . The game had so much potential and at this point it seems like most people have lost hope and written it off as a failure of a sequel. The airport builder especially is something I was looking foreword to but it looks like Its just the same default airport templates that cs1 had for 7 years. Im just happy WOA doesn’t have devs like this…
For me it was a big disappointment, for paradox this feels like an oddity. Having a half-finished buggy game that 1 year down the road still isn’t fully fixed is truly strange coming from the Devs of masterpieces like Stellaris. I hope this will maybe turn out like the Hello Games situation and No Mans Sky
Back when I played CS1 I had made quite a few airports. I tried replicating KSFO, but that was before I had all my mods and I think it had issues functioning. Then I made another airport that was mostly functioning. I had done SO much research into the measurements and spacing of markings, lights, etc. Now I’m waiting to build a high-end PC and hoping that CS2 eventually gets all the mods CS1 had.
Just got added in game lol
Decided to share my project useing Airport CEO
Ignoring the unprofessional pics (I was in a hurry I’ll take more professional ones later) but all taxiways are done ready for testing with debug panel!
BTW isn’t city skylines Airport DLC more detailed outside compared to Airport CEO?
I dont know about the dlc but with mods for sure. However, I will give cs the edge since its in 3d
Agree from the pics I’ve seen, ACEO is good for interior detail but it’s still is very irritating since it’s at a birds eye view. But I will say that ACEO updates have been very slow recently…
Indeed and Edelweiss Air.
