There are two variants of the call sign:
Either only RIO was used as a derivative or the name of the airline was named, which was used as a call sign.
I couldn’t find any more about this.

Why should this airline be added?
Rio Airways was a former American airline from Killeen, Texas that was founded in 1967 and ceased operations in 1987.It was an important regional airline in Texas, which also tried to establish against the larger carriers such as Delta Airlines but ultimately bankrupted through internal conflicts and strikes
The airline’s fleet could be used as an event aircraft that could fly to New Orleans Airport, if not even to San Diego Airport…
But they could also be reintroduced into regular operations…
No matter how, it would be nice if this airline would also be in the game
