What is your suggestion?
Suggestion is something that was done a while back but as a post. Basic idea is airports that could be added as destinations to the game. I thought I’d compile the now locked list (Because people can’t read lmao) of destination airports that should or could be added to the game.I’ll compile them into IRL routes whose destinations are missing in-game from playable airports, then ones which would be good for destinations, either being airports with a good amount of routes irl or a hub, but which doesn’t have a route to a playable airport, or an airport which has the facilities and either used to operate flights or is able to.
Simply put, it would provide more options for players to operate aircraft on, some types in-game currently don’t make sense on a route for an airline say Aer Lingus’ ATR’s but if smaller airports were added, these realisticish routes could be run. Also,running your own airline you’re competing with the irlairlines running the route. Makes more sense for your airline to potentially fly routes which are currently not being run by airlines as per irl new airlines.
How would it work in the game?
More destinations added into the game for players to fly too and from. That’s really about it. List will be in the bottom Optional section.
Why is this a good idea?
What improvement would this bring? Better usability, realism, fun factor, accessibility?It would bring more options for player airlines and make regional operations much more fun. And more liveries and airlines would have options which make sense like Aer Lingus’s ATR’s which could fly to LHR from the likes of Waterford.

Another one I’d love to see, it’s the most local airport to me so it would be a cool one to operate to CWL Cardiff Airport 2,354m/7,723ft Wales has been done dirty by the devs , big airport, BA has a repair base there for its 787’s, can take big planes Qatar wanted to fly there, FlyBe had it as a base as did BMI Baby, TUI and Ryanair have a base at the airport, Vueling flies there amongst others and WestJet is to start ops there from Toronto
SWS Swansea Airport 1,350m/4,429ft Can take ATRs and Dash 8s, Air Wales operated here for a while. Would be a cool bonus one to operate too for regional ops say with BA or FlyBe HAW Haverfordwest Airport 1,524m/5,000ft Could be fun for regionals - same as Swansea although hasn’t ever had ops DSA Doncaster Sheffield Airport 2,893m/9,491ft No longer used but could be fun for regional ops as well as a Ryanair/Wizz/Thomson airport for routes to playable airports in Europe as they used to operate flights. Big runway and plenty of parking ops so can take large aircraft, has the long runway as used to be used for the Vulcan nuclear bombers HUY Humberside Airport 2,196m/7,205ft KLM flies in there, would be good as a regional destination from LHR PIK Glasgow Prestwick 2,986m/9,797ft Only has Ryanair pax ops but takes freight including 747-8F’s. Good for NGO regional ops YGJ Yonago Miho Airport 2,500m/8,202ft Receives ANA flights from HND with A21N. Also receives Air Seoul, tigerair flights which would make it good for NGO regional ops. Close to IZO though which is actually flown into from NGO OKJ Okayama Airport 3,000m/9,843ft Important airport for the city of Okayama, served by both JAL and ANA from HND. Also receives flights from China Eastern, tigerair, JTA and Korean Air which make it an ideal candidate for regional NGO flights TSJ Tsushima Airport 1,900m/6,234ft Is only served from Nagasaki but it has the runway length for regional ops of which NGO could be an option. Could work for a cool route from NGO Big list of airports but it would flesh Japan out a bit and provide players with more destinations for which to run their own regional airline, if they so wish, as well as provide more options for flights at the start of the NGO grind. South Korea KWJ Gwangju Airport 2,835m/9,301ft Asiana, Korean, T’way, Jin and Jeju all serve this airport from Jeju with Asiana also doing a route to Seoul. It’s only a small airport but would be nice to see for a South Western peninsula airport as currently none exist MWX Muan International Airport 2,800m/9,186ft Flights are operated by Jeju and Jin from here, both of which fly to Japanese destinations with Jeju connecting Nagasaki to the airport and Jin connecting Tokyo and Osaka which makes NGO not much of a stretch. Other airlines flying there are Lao Airlines, Cambodia Airways, VietJet Air and Vietnam Airlines showing its a larger airport which would pad out South Korea a bit YNY Yangyang International Airport 2,500m/8,202ft Currently only has one route but has a fair amount of charter flights with Korean doing routes to London, Munich and New York from the airport. Would make for a nice addition to North Eastern South Korea as a destinations from BKK or NGO Indonesia UPG Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport 3,202m/10,505ft Currently has Garuda do a cargo flight to HKG as well as being Sulawesi’s biggest airport so as per above with Sumatra, would put the island on the map Not yet issued one Nusantara International Airport 3,000m/9,843ft The new airport for the new capital of Indonesia on Borneo, due to be opened next year.
