B737 (737-700) (4 operated),

:pushpin: Why should this airline be added?
Founded in 1992 as Aero República, operating 727’s, replacing them with DC 9’s and then due constant mechanical problems with its ageing fleet, low punctuality, and mismanagement, the airline fell into problems and had to undergo restructuring, replacing its fleet with MD-80s. In 2005, the airline was purchased by Copa Airlines of Panama and its fleet was replaced with the 737-700s and E190s above, with the corporate livery also being changed though the name remained the same until 2010 when it became Cope Airlines Colombia. The airline still operates today but hasn’t operated its own fleet since 2020 due to the pandemic and it operates flights with its Panamanian parents fleet.

It should be added to the game, based out of Bogota with its fleet able to reach all American airports, as well as being a currently operating airline. Plus more E190s in South America is a great thing.

2016 destinations (Not sure where it flies to now),

It’s now called Wingo

Wingo took over some of the flights that Copa had pre-2020 domestically within Colombia but Copa Colombia still exists as an airline with no aircraft operating international flights within the region using Copa Panama’s aircraft.

Edit: Doing more research it appears Wingo has taken over the identity of Copa Colombia, but Copa Colombia still exists and flights are done by Wingo or Copa Panama. Seems very convoluted and they should just kill Copa Colombia at this point

To clarify, Copa acquired Aerorepublica and at that time became known as Copa Colombia, but it struggled to compete with Avianca and LAN Colombia. This is why Copa decided to create a low-cost sub-brand called Wingo to compete in the Colombian market.
