A new Terminal 1 is opening later this year, and Iโ€™m hoping this is the right way to request this. Mainly it would be nice to have the game be up to date. We could do a like-for-like swap of the current 19 gates of existing Terminal 1 for the 19 New T1 gates, perhaps with the future 11 gate expansion (which will be constructed partially on the footprint of the existing terminal 1) as a new unlockable

The masterplan of new SAN T1, only the 19 gates on the right in this phase (you can see a line splits that in the middle). Seeming to be 1 E and 18 C gates? Donโ€™t know about remote stands but could be 2 E?

Hereโ€™s some pictures i got of the current development

Ha, I hope itโ€™s 2 E gates. Iโ€™d prefer not to give up the 4 D gates we get in current WOA T1, but it might not be so bad if we get 2 E gates

Judging from images, we will get quite a few new E gates, looks like around 6. Also WoA Devs are typically quite generous and give extra D/E/F stands if they fit in the area

Yep and some are shared stands but most of the E gates will be in the second phase unfortunately.

I assume if they were to include the new terminal it would be the whole thing, would save them spending extra time on taxi-ing routes for each individual phase, theyโ€™ve done it before with the new Muscat terminal

Well, remember this terminal is for the domestic flights already served by T1, which are only ever C and smallerโ€ฆ so maybe it would open opportunity for domestic wide body? But for international itโ€™d need a customs area like T2

Yeah i think delta use 767s to JFK quite often, and Hawaiian send 330s.
