The maximum range registered in this game is 4,800 NM for the A21NX and 5,300 NM for the A21NY, but in the actual game, range registration is only possible at shorter distances. (Based on SYD, the furthest destination for the A21NX/NY was Vietnam CXR; although the maximum ranges are 5,300 NM and 4,800 NM, it was only 3,650 NM to get there.) This is quite disappointing. I wish we could use longer ranges to match the maximum range. Please review this so that we can send them over long distances. (^^)d

Edit your seat layout to 20 business so your A21NX can reach 3789NM, and the A21NY, 4365NM. While still not what you expected, it will allow your NY to reach BKK (4055NM), HKG (3990NM) and NGO (4206NM).
Also, if you haven’t unlocked the A21NX yet, don’t. The A21NY is better then the A21NX/A21N in all aspects.

I think the game is probably about a mixed situation for airline contracts in terms of range.
I think you could find some A359s from East Asia in GRU and B788s from Europe in SYD, which could be absolutely impossible IRL and even beyond manufacturer claimed range.
Most cargo planes also have such issues like they got almost fully loaded but they can fly unreasonably far based on the payload.
A21NY, on the other hand, as you said has shorter available range than the marketed range.
