Skymark Airlines received their 1st Boeing 737 MAX 8 in May 2026, with Skymark Airlines first ordering 2 MAX 8s in January 2023, after which they placed 6 more MAX 8s in May 2025 as part of their plans to modernize their fleet.
More skymark woo. Wonder if the devs will ever consider adding the A380 
Wish for the Skymark A388, but this will be the closest livery we will ever get for the aircraft, unfortunately.
Did they ever operate the A380 or was it just that one occasion? What year was it?
They went bankrupt before they took them so they sat built and nearly finished for many years.
Actually, Airbus pulled the plug for the A380 deal with Skymark Airlines, as in 2014, the Japanese yen dropped against the US dollar, and Skymark was looking for financiers to make the payments due for the six A380s on order. Airbus was worried about Skymark’s ability to pay for the A380s; that they were willing to alter the original A380 deal by meeting a certain revenue target and replacing Shinichi Nishikubo, the CEO of Skymark, with a person handpicked from Airbus. Skymark declined the altered deal, and Airbus terminated the A380 purchase order.
