Why should this airline be added?
Surinam Airways is the flag carrier of the country of Suriname. While it doesn’t operate to any playable airport, and has become a shell of its former self, SLM has a rich history. Currently they operate primarily to the ABC islands and Miami. While SLM still has flights to Amsterdam, they wet lease these flights out as Suriname’s safety has failed to meet necessary standards resulting in them being added to the EU blacklist. Adding their old flagship A343 would give them the international presence they used to have. Overall it’s a unique and historic airline that would be a nice addition for SXM and potentially GRU/MSY.
