Hello I’ve noticed this page where it shows the amount of stars you have on a contract and also how many economy/business class seats you have. Is their a way to progress to be able to get some business class?
If anyone with more insight into this could elaborate on this, would be greatly appreciated!
Regular contracts (so real airlines and event planes) are in an all economy configuration (maximum number of seats the aircraft type is certified to have) and cannot be changed, you can only change the configuration of your own aircraft that you buy (or receive in levels) for your fleet.

Ok thanks for that. I did figure it is like that. Just the fact it gives you that graphic with the stars below made me think it could be upgradeable in some way.
No worries, that’s just there as a built in part of the UI. I believe (may be wrong here, it’s been a while 
) there was a point early in the games life where contract aircraft didn’t have an all economy configuration but I don’t believe it was something that lasted very long.
I only noticed it till around early 2.0 but the
umbrella = economy class
briefcase = business class
star = first class
These Ui things give us the picture of what planes can bring certain classes with them such ass larger aircraft such as boeing 737-800 and A321 have business and larger planes such as B777 have first class.
You still have to change your seating format with these options too!
What I know:
In 1.0 era, all planes, including player ones, were all economy config with every flight full of passengers (100%). You had to unlock every airport by the pax count in total.
In 2.0, three class config was introduced and you can only do this to player planes (till now). Airlines contract, on the otherhand, are still all economy and there will be a random number between 80%-100% capacity for each flight if I am not wrong.
So the star is for first class seats available. I don’t know if there could be a potential to have premium economy to make it a F/C/W/Y config and import realistic data to airline contracts…
