Suggestions Please!

What should I do to rapidly grow my SXM? I’m at the level before regional (almost there).

Pls do not answer:

  1. Play daily/for many hours
  2. Buy contracts

I recommend servicing dhc-6s. They’re really good, always nearby and more.

I have that

Well the large contracts and 757s can really give you some space. Level 3 on some give you 12 xp!

I have 757 Delta

Well I really hate to say it but… just go with the flow! But once you get regional you can get some nice D and E contracts with plentiful rewards

if you go to my profile, you will see 2 of my dhc-6 in SXM

Nice header! I play sxm a lot honestly after regional it gets easier

thx for the idea

Best thing to do is have a cargo player contract (a connection for 10 trips not a random player). Gets a ton of XP which is needed for sxm as its such a slow airport

Player contracts (specifically M and S) from American airports (IAD, SAN and MSY).
For S Crj/Erj work extremely well.

Okay, here are my tips for gaining xp:

1. Get B cargo planes for your fleet
Cargo will earn more xp than pax, and B aircraft will be able to fly to closer airports. This is helpful because if you send them somewhere close enough, you can handle all of them at the start of playing, and then they’ll probably come back by the time you’re done handling other planes. I have 4 SF34Fs, but a couple of any small freighter should would.

2. Handle A and B planes
Some have already said this, but in the time it takes for one E or F plane to land, you can land 3 A or B planes. This is improved further by the fact that many contracts have the same handling twice in one session benefit of B cargo. This means you can super easily get tons of A/B planes to max level and get rewards quick. Large B planes like the AT76 of DH8D will give you the most rewards, and DHC6s will give the best opportunity to handle multiple times due to close Winniar contracts.

3. Don’t forget E/F planes
While smaller planes have their place, it is important to keep handling the biggest planes. That is where most of my xp came from later on because of the max level rewards. I would recommend landing 3-5 E or F planes once you start playing (after B cargo or planes you’re trying to get back soon), and then while they are handling you can land A/B planes. C/D are also important. You can land then in between any of these planes or steps. Utilize all your contracts/connections/planes.

4. Get connections and planes
I know others have mentioned connections, but I am going to repeat that this is one of the most important things to do. Starting at max level is a huge advantage. I would recommend starting with buying CRJs or E170/175 going to IAD, and then snowballing into C, then E planes. Obviously you should also ask for connections on the forum or within an alliance, Discord group, etc.

5. Buy the approach manager
While I don’t usually say this, I’d recommend occasionally buying the approach manager. Not for the automatic landings, which for me, I don’t really care about that, but the speed up effect. If you spend the maximum amount for speed-up it is a decently significant change. It’s hard to see, but you can see it. Always good for when you’re really struggling to fill gates because of backtracking.

That’s a whole chunk of words but okay, I will read it

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you asked for suggestions and ideas didn’t you?

The A/B tip is the biggest one there. I will say that I wouldn’t buy max ATC. It’s probably going to cause you to lose sp flying AB class aircraft.

can you elaborate more about the “A/B tip” thing

yes…

See, I would actually say DHC-6s are not very good for rapid expansion, and that is due to one problem. The contract slots. To get as many rewards as from a larger plane, you need considerably more DHC-6 contracts, so I think it’s better to get the largest planes you can, and only handle the DHC-6s in between those and when you’re not using all of your handling crew (another problem at SXM) to handle bigger planes.
