:pushpin: Why should this livery be added?
Abiding by the 2010 rule we have in-place (Petition for a 2008 rule instead?), I’ve been looking for Southwest’s gold livery and whether or not it survived past that marker. Well, it turns out a sole plane, N347SW, was sent for repainting at Boeing Everett Field on 3rd February 2010, the final actual gold livery and not a very basically repainted gold like the 737-700’s were so they were ‘retro’ (I don’t define them as so personally, the 2 in the post wore that livery their entire lives).

Having the gold survive into 2010 allows for it to be included, potentially, as a regular livery, something I’d love to have at my MSY for some contrast, 3 eras all parked next to each other or so players could operate MSY as though it were the mid-2000s. Would be great to have.

i’m a huge fan of the Desert Gold scheme in general, would love to see this at the likes of MSY to compliment the Desert Gold B38M you get from the pass (and the Desert Gold B737s too, but you linked that already lol)

also im in support of adjusting the “2010s rule” into something like the “2008 rule” too, theres quite a number of awesome liveries like this one you could see more of, or even airlines, that are otherwise likely to be just event or special contract only

I think 2008 because that was the year the world lost so much aviation. All that could be remembered in this game if that was adjusted. I get they have a limit on what can physically be available but the financial recession was such a game changer in regards to types and airlines and even some hubs. I could go on more about how I believe we’ve been in a holding pattern since 2008, especially here in the UK, but it’s not aviation related lmao. This livery not so much as they began to phase it out in 2001 but there’s just so much lol. Fully 100% agree with you haha. We’re a small loud bunch wanting this rule changed.
