:chart_increasing: Airport Type & Size
Major international airport, the largest airport in Uzbekistan with a design capacity of 21 million passengers per year (extrapolated from 2,400/hr). It has two runways, 08L/26R (4000m) and 08R/26L (3905m) with slightly different lengths. It is one of the largest and most modern airports in Central Asia, with three terminals for passengers and one for cargo. Two passenger terminals are together on the north side, and a third is on the south side. The airport is currently undergoing large scale renovation, with plans to merge its arrivals and departure terminals by 2026. It can support the An-124, 747, and A380.

:vertical_traffic_light: Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
It is the hub of Uzbekistan Airways, among others, which would provide lots of international connection. It is located in a very strategic Central Asian location, and one of the largest airports in Central Asia. It would be a very good airport for stopovers between Europe and Asia, and would also be a decent airport to base Eastern aircraft, if those are added.
