The Thai Airways livery for the MD-11

Why should this livery be added?
Thai Airways operated 4 of these between 1991 and 2006, utilising them on routes to Europe, Oceania and to Asian destinations such as Tokyo and HKG. Would be perfect for the upcoming HKG airport but also as a base livery for BKK.
Yes definitely this one, be a boost to Thai fleet.
I really love the original shade of purple Thai Airways used to use — it looked so rich and elegant. I read that their classic livery was quite expensive to produce because it involved custom metallic paint and special finishing techniques. Eventually, they switched to a more affordable version in newer aircraft, but the old color had a depth and luxury that the current one just doesn’t match. It would be amazing to see the Thai Airways MD11 with that classic livery in a game.
I suppose we can have both.
The newer one as standard contract and the older one as event only.
Do they not use it anymore then?
They still use purple, but not the original deep metallic shade. The classic one was more luxurious-looking, but also more expensive to produce and maintain. Thai Airways last used that rich purple shade on their A340s, which have since been retired — so we don’t really see that color in active service anymore. 
Tbh not really paid any notice but definitely don’t have that shine anymore, was good to see.
Really miss the time when the big 3 in Southeast Asia were more about the premium. The last glimpse of the golden age of air travel. While now… Sigh…
Shame the Thai MD-11 wasn’t included in today’s release…even more so as BKK is a playable airport 
It’ll come in good time. It’s quite a complicated livery as unlike modern Thai, you can see the shine in the paint and I feel the dev’s might like to replicate that.
