I am using the Tower manager and am Wanting to know if it is really worth putting the approach on its highest level… Does it actually speed up landings and other stuff?

Unless you have more then 1 million SP, meaning you have nothing else to spend it on, short answer is no, it’s not worth it.
It does speed up a bit, but you won’t even notice. If I’m not mistaken, it’s less then 10% speed up…

6% yes. It is definitively not worth it, you will lose more than you gain.

Ah, so I’ve been going wrong for a year 
. No wonder I have no silver. Does it speed up aircraft on the ground and on takeoff?

I’m now only paying for the basic manager lol. Losing so much silver for no benefit lol.

It does not.
Approach: speeds up landing speed.
Departure: take off speed.
Delivery: chocks.
Ground: taxiing.
It’s all written in very small letters right above the “Speed-up Mild/Medium/High” slider, the same letter size of those huge walls of text called contracts we don’t read before clicking “I agree, continue”.

I remember in previous (maybe V2 era) versions it said three tiers were +2%/4%/6%.
And I also remember in LHR if you use +6% landing speed up you will have about one more plane on the ground during handling process simultaneously. That may only worth it if you have Lv10 A388 contract (where you have like +50SPs for every 10 minutes) and you have multiple runways for landing, and you also don’t have handling bottlenecks.
