Why should this airline be added?
Somewhat surprised @Hirohitoswaifu hasn’t already posted this. Ted operated as a separate brand from United and was called this because UniTed. This was a very strange time in US aviation when the legacy airlines decided to cosplay as LCCs. While never having a separate AOC, since all aircraft were operated by United main, a total of 56 A320s were rebranded to Ted. They operated between 2004 and 2009 to try and compete against the likes of Frontier. Clearly it didn’t work, but it’s a interesting and quirky bit of history. It would also add some more variety to its former hubs including DEN, ORD, LAX, SFO and of course IAD.
