Hello everyone. I hope you and all your loved ones are doing well and being truly happy.
Regarding this topic subject and to clarify some wrong information I’ve seen in this forum, I’d like to share a message I’ve received recently, to a support request regarding username change.
The any new users, that are considering installing and start playing this wonderful game on an Android device (I’m sorry to any iOs device player, but I don’t know it works there), your World of Airports (WoA) username (which functions as the name of your ‘airline’, for your fleet) will be your Google Play Games name, on the account associated to the device.
If you never used Google Play Games before installing and running the WoA game app, it will assign you a random name (hence the SevenConceit56 ).
Even if, posteriorly, you edit your account details, directly on Google Play Games (changing your username), it won’t have any effect on your World of Airports In-Game-(user)Name (IGN).
Wanting to personalise my IGN, and after having found a few topics and posts about this, including this one by @AeroApollo , where he mentions having done it (which I believe, don’t get me wrong!).
However, as the next image (a print screen from the reply I got from the Flyboys Games support team) shows, “Currently, changing the player name is not possible (…)”.
“However, a player name change feature is in development and will be added to the game in the future.”
I hope the above information is useful and with the correct categorisation.
Safe landings and travels. And fun play.
