Ushuaia – Malvinas Argentinas International AirportICAO: SAWH / IATA: USH

Ushuaia, Argentina
Airport Type & Size
A small international airport with only one runway, however, can take a B747. In fact, the ramp allows the simultaneous operation of 2 large aircraft (B747-A340), 2 medium-sized aircraft (B737-A320-E190) and 1 smaller aircraft (F28-SW4) - according to the airport website.
Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
This airport would be a unique addition to WoA as it would be a mix between SXM and INN - next to the sea, mountains in the distance, small airport, able to support wide-bodies, few irl routes, snowy winters. A unique feature would be that the runway heading used for landing is different from the one used for takeoff, which is not seen at any airport in WoA.Not too close to existing South American airports (GRU, SCL), but close enough to allow player C class planes to fly there.
Closer in scale to the Generic Airports than to the recent updates with massive airports, so it would feel like a distinct and different type of update.
Major Airlines & Routes
Aerolíneas Argentinas, Flybondi, Jetsmart, Gol, LATAM, LADEThis airport has seen:
Aerolíneas Argentinas A343 & B744 & A332, Air France Concorde, Condor B763, Lufthansa A346[1] & B744[2], Austrian Airlines B772, Tower Air B742, Austral Líneas Aéreas MD-81 & MD-88, Air Austral B772
Unique Features or Challenges
Southernmost international airport in the world. Snowy winters. Very remote. In irl it has very few routes, but in WoA everything is possible so…Aircraft only land using RW25, however, they take off using RW07, which makes this an interesting airport, and reduces taxiing times.
At night time it’s possible (but rare) to see aurora australis, this small detail could be implemented in the game to make this airport even better.
