Why should this livery be added?
Virgin Atlantic operated a fleet of 10 Airbus A340-300s, serving long-haul destinations primarily from London Heathrow (LHR), while also operating selected services from **Manchester (MAN).One particularly interesting aircraft is G-VSUN, which became unique within the fleet by wearing the 2006–2010 Virgin Atlantic livery after returning from its time with Virgin Nigeria in 2007. It retained this scheme until its retirement in 2015, making it one of the last Virgin Atlantic A340-300s in service.
Unlike the Airbus A340-600 fleet, where three aircraft carried this livery, and several Boeing 747-400s also wore it, G-VSUN was the only A340-300 to receive this specific paint scheme, making it a distinctive and historically significant aircraft.
