I don’t know what to say but please calm down and show proper respect to other people including using English on this forum…
Few things I can tell:
I work with a lot of Chinese people here in Australia and I find them to be very good people, I don’t know why everything has to be like this.
I do support to add a Chinese airport (never withdraw my support) but now I question myself if I am willing to see such chaos frequently in future.
I planned to research on a Chinese airport I feel very interesting (and no one published on this forum), after I published JED in the airport suggestion section and I don’t think it is appropriate to do so now. And I feel very sad about it.
I’m not threatening to ban you or anything, i haven’t got power to do so even if i wanted to. I’m merely letting you know that arguments that escalate to personal insults often result in mutes or more
Let’s put it this way, those who want the developers to do Chinese airports are Chinese players who really love WOA, we Chinese players have done nothing wrong, we shouldn’t be treated the same as those hackers. And hackers will continue to attack WOA whether they do Chinese airports or not, because those hackers are not WOA players, they don’t care
Someone called someone else pathetic, there was definitely some of that going on and i thought it was worth letting them know it would probably result in mutes
I didn’t see they represent the idea this way (maybe you feel that way due to language barriers), from my point I view it more like a problem with cheaters in the game (and I know a type of business that sells maxed out accounts for profit, don’t know if that happens in WoA). I know cheating is not what all Chinese player do, only a very small proportion of them do but since devs talked about it maybe they have some internal figures, I would like to see actual figures from them to verify this.
For the votes, if you look at the section, I have to express some concern over it (don’t mean cheating but would like to express my concern). Many great airports are getting single digits or 10/20 votes but an airport in China which I don’t have any knowledge of before I search it on Google Maps, easily gets a doubled number.
If devs strictly follows the rule of selecting the highest votes, definitely there will be a total chaos cuz like I discussed in relation to the [Generic Airports]:
“The winner will always be the biggest (and probably most famous) ones and airports in cities with the most people.”
A lot of people from China vote for their national hubs and local airports and that makes a problem from my understanding, there is no wrongdoing but might cause some problem. I think devs indicated that they won’t only select the ones with highest votes, maybe that is what we have some misunderstanding on (and it’s not cheating, at least for me).
Think about this then you understand how I view most Chinese airports getting dozens of votes:
I also I would like to see my local airport, ADL in the game but I definitely know this will get no more than 10 votes anyway. And I bet most Chinese players have no knowledge of this airport even don’t know the city - because this airport is simply boring.
I don’t want to step back from my point mentioned earlier. I still support to add not one, but maybe 3 or even 4 Chinese airports to the game in future, this is a recognition of the community and celebrate the significance of Chinese aviation industry.
But.. Like I said I tried to research on a Chinese airport that I feel interesting rather than a Chinese national gateway or a local airport for some players. But yes, I will have to postpone that to see how everything goes. Having it in my draft box but now I think I will try to work on other interesting airports, feeling very sad I have to admit.
No matter what, when everything is calm and it becomes possible, I will work on such proposal and try to reach out the community to see if they feel like it.
I also acknowledge there might be language barriers and cultural differences for many Chinese players, and I also know there are players from other non-English countries. I would appreciate in advance if you can be respectful to others and think about people from various cultural backgrounds, like an old saying in China (which was told by one of my employee from China):
@Thatflyerguy is not a mod so he cant hand out bans (I don’t even know if bans are even a thing on the forum). The only users that can do it (and are mods) are @carlsberg72 and @ukplanespotter757.
The developers dont post the release notes in czech languages but in very common english whats common spoken in the world.
devs say there are some issues with some chinese people that cost them time to develop new features.
i have my preferences what i want to see in woa but respect other choices. For example i dont need jeddah but if community want it im fine its put in the game. Disclamer jeddah was pure an example to explain my point
You are right, but in fact, they attributed the mistakes of some Chinese players attacking the game to all Chinese players (including us), and punished us by treating China differently in voting event.
I think you make a good point, and this may be exactly what the team is really considering for the ministry,
I just want to remind one thing, everyone in China will have had at least 9 years of English education and some of us have lived in Europe and the US, we believe that we don’t have a wrong understanding of any of the words, and that some of the practices that we can’t understand each other may be due to cultural differences
But no matter what criteria the new airport is selected by, I think the PEK or PVG airport with the highest votes should be included in future development plans. What we cannot accept is vague responses or attributing these things to game breakers.
There is a plan that you can consider adopting. Nowadays, many foreign manufacturers have opened promotional accounts on social media platforms in China. After all, Chinese players are an immeasurable part of the world gaming community, and many popular games cannot do without the strong support of Chinese players. Why not give it a try? Not just limited to Google, Ins,Youtube.
Just popping in. I think you misunderstood what the devs said. It is a fact that a there have been attacks on the game from Chinese accounts (they have the numbers and they have mentioned this already a few months ago). Nowhere is said though that they will never include Chinese airports because of this reason. They said that they don’t solely look at voting counts when selecting the next airport. It just so happens to be Chinese airports in this case. But I am sure if all the top voted airports were French or US or British airports, they would have said the exact same thing.
I am also aware they posted a little disclaimer let’s say under the Chinese airports. That’s not to single the Chinese community out or that they are racist. It’s just to clear things up on why a Chinese airport may not come as the very next airport. Since the majority of the hacking problems are coming from China. That certainly doesn’t mean Chinese players are bad. It’s just a documented fact for now that a bad part of the Chinese player base (if these are players at all) are trying to ruin the game. So I understand why they are cautious for now. I am 100000% they would do the exact same if the players were from other countries like the US or Germany or Brazil or from whatever country on the planet.
Hey, thanks for your reply, I fully understand your understanding on this matter, this is something we are disappointed with or Devs should take into consideration:
Our community is Woa Chinese player community, not 1.4 billion Chinese community, all the issues mentioned by Kuba so far all came from the 1.4 billion Chinese community, these hackers are not players and are not in our community, and it’s been a long time since the last player hackers It’s been a long time since the last player hacker and they have been duly punished. That’s where we feel unfairly treated: Chinese people who don’t play WOA are messing up, but they’re punishing Chinese players who love WOA.
Even so, those are okay, we take the blame for our compatriots and actively seek opportunities for cooperation, but all we get are vague replies and not a single bit of fulfillment of our demands:
the development progress should be highly transparent with strong expectations, don’t consume our trust and expectations for Woa, ditto the answer to the question of whether or not Chinese airports will appear can only be a yes or a no, we can’t We can’t accept “maybe”
We know we have a problem, and as I said earlier, we are responsible for our fellow citizens, but instead of agreeing to our request for friendship and cooperation, the development team continues to send out boring “statements”
We are Asked Woa to address this issue, I sent a letter to Kuba 20 hours ago expressing similar sentiments, but still haven’t received a reply, even though the number of readers went from 1 to 2.
These three points are only based on our right to know, and if the Woa team can’t disclose the details of the three points, we will not be able to cooperate with Woa any further.
