Voice from a Chinese Player

As avid players of WoA, we have long been passionate about the game. However, recent events have cast a shadow over my experience, as it has become increasingly evident that the development team,This is the uniform response that the forum administrator recently posted under all the threads about Chinese airports. I think it is biased.

Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that a small fraction of Chinese players have indeed violated game rules. However, it is also important to note that these behaviors that undermine the fairness of the game were reported to FlyBoys by righteous Chinese players. These players actively reported loopholes and requested that accounts that participated in unfair behaviors be banned. Their efforts reflect their determination to maintain the fairness and equity of the game.

Despite being a niche game in China, WoA has the potential to attract a substantial player base due to the country’s large population of approximately 1.4 billion people. Within this population exists a significant community of aviation enthusiasts who are eager to engage with WoA. These players are primarily organized on local social platforms such as Tencent QQ,WeChat and Redbook, where numerous WoA-related groups have been established. These groups, ranging in size from dozens to hundreds of members, serve as vital hubs for sharing information and discussing the game.

Many of my friends and fellow players regularly translate official WoA announcements and updates into Chinese and share them within these groups. This grassroots effort ensures that Chinese-speaking players, who may not be active on the official WoA forums due to language barriers, remain informed about the latest developments in the game. It is a testament to the dedication and passion of the Chinese WoA community.

We wholeheartedly agree with the statement that “currently, there is no mutually respectful and effective communication chain established with Chinese players.” As enthusiasts of WoA, my friends and I are more than willing to dedicate our personal time to bridge this gap. We believe that by working together with Fly Boys, we can create a more inclusive and engaging environment for all players.

We are eager to offer our assistance in several ways:
1. Translation Services: We can provide accurate translations of official announcements, patch notes, and other communications into Chinese. This will ensure that all players have access to important information in their native language.

2. Community Moderation: We can help monitor local QQ and WeChat groups for reports of bugs and instances of misconduct. Verified cases can then be promptly forwarded to the Fly Boys team for appropriate action.

3. Feedback Consolidation: By organizing and summarizing feedback from the Chinese community, we can streamline communication and reduce the burden on the Fly Boys support team. This will enable faster response times and more effective problem-solving.

4. Building Bridges: We propose the establishment of dedicated channels for Chinese players, such as a Chinese-language section on the WoA forum or official partnerships with QQ and WeChat groups. This will facilitate direct dialogue and foster a sense of inclusion.

We urge the Fly Boys team to recognize the dedication and potential of the Chinese WoA community. By implementing multilingual support mechanisms and actively engaging with us, you can demonstrate fairness and tap into a vast reservoir of enthusiastic players who are eager to contribute to the game’s growth and success.

We remain hopeful that our shared love for WoA can pave the way for a more inclusive and collaborative future. Thank you for considering our perspective and for the opportunity to work together towards a better gaming experience for all.

Here is my game ID and a screenshot of my account. I have multiple WoA accounts, and I believe many players should have received flights from me originating from LHR. Playing WoA every day has become a part of my lifestyle, and I have also recharged gold coins on several occasions to support FlyBoys. I hope FlyBoys will not disappoint my expectations. Thank you.

I honestly have no words to describe…

I’m going to be honest with you, there is a lot of good Chinese lads out there in the WOA community but on the other hand there are lads that simply want to harm WOA, and with a lot more cyber attacks coming from China recently and WOA coming from the Czech Republic it’s clear that the Chinese (not all) want to harm European and American games, I’ve seen spam bots posting ads of them trying to call them (which not sure if it was China or India) and that WOA Mod APK (which I’ve had a feeling came from China) which is a clear sign of harming the game as a whole.

Don’t get me wrong, the Devs definitely want to add a Chinese airport in the future but with all the cyber attacks now the risk is to large to handle and it would be (at best) damaging the game and (at worst) loss revenue and shutting the game down. (And we all don’t want that to happen.)

I declare that this guy’s speech does not represent me, a player from the Chinese region,

You are so good-tempered that my comments are not even displayed in this emperor forum. A game that regards players as enemies and officially discriminates against Chinese players is not worth my consumption to be their son.

I’m not a computer network expert, but I cant understand why it is suspected that the cyberattacks are caused by Chinese players. WoA is a free game and has no conflict of interest with the players. I cant think of any reason why players would want to attack. Of course, I dont deny the existence of some young and radical players.

Your speech is no different from saying that the American will always be bad to China

你直接说中文好了…

Just to make it clear, I’m NOT discriminating anyone, I’m just saying that the Devs definitely want a Chinese airport coming, but due to a lot of cyber attacks that has been delayed.

I play WoA for only about 4-5 month. As a Chinese player I knows there are some issue and other sensitive information for us in the game, but mainly all of our community is aviation lover and we ignore all the element that make us feel uncomfortable. I join several QQ chats for whiles, there are a lot of player wants to make the game better and helping the new players. I also can understand the risk and scared does the Flyboys face based on the boosting IOS accounts and other issue, but our community are try to supervise it and build a better environments. In Saturday, the admins of our chat post the announcement of airport voting. I can say most of the people even does not know this forum before and they go register the count and put effort and want to add a Chinese Airport. I can say there are some people open more than one account and vote for specific airports, but most of us follow the rules, we also vote for airport like AMS and SIN. I say the Chinese Community are welcom the developer like to build a connection based on the double-side respect and understandings.

We want to solve the problems, not attacking the developer of the games. The attacking will make the relationship even worse while to much emotions and attacking language are express from Chinese players.

Who first?hello?

In summary, I am indignant that WoA has been subjected to a cyber-attack. As a player, I am willing to donate generously by purchasing in-game currency to help the developers raise funds to buy DDoS protection services from cloud service providers.

Moreover, the “discrimination” I referred to is more specifically about “the votes from Chinese players being regarded as ballot-stuffing.” If you consider it to be bot behavior, you could increase the difficulty of forum registration, such as requiring binding to game accounts during registration. As I also mentioned in my post, Chinese players are not a small group, and it is quite normal for them to register accounts and participate in voting after learning about the airport voting.

:see_no_evil_monkey:What are you saying?

I see you in qq group since morning 2. it seems you do not want to solve the question, instead of, you are using emotional language to attacking the developer and release your anger. From more calm, you need understand Flyboys is a western company. They stand on the western views. We are not able to change other’s point of view, the only things we can do is support them and build a more friendly enviornment. You know how many people are emotional and doing impolite things toward developers and even other players including force other to send planes. 3. You choose to quit the game seems so pathetic, they will not care about what one single player think. Most of the player truly love the game just continue play and I am sure they are feel bad about the voting, even I am also, OK? Just stop sending the annoying and foolish attacking post on the forum, OK? you’r pathetic man…
