Which plane to unlock now?

I am playing at LHR at Lvl 61 at the moment, I’ve unlocked the B77W and now looking for the next plane to unlock.
Is it better to unlock a X-Plane (B748) or should I unlock a L-Cargo-Plane (B77LF) first ?
Which path will gain more wollars the Cargo-Path or the Pax-Path ?

With Pax plane you earn a little bit more wollars, the XP yield is with cargo planes better. For example you earn with a A332F 173XP, for such a reward with paxe you need an X-plane.

… I‘ll need more and more XP for the next Lvl, so I should go with the Cargo L-planes

I’m personally not big on cargo planes for my fleets, mostly because so many airports have so few cargo stands and because AI AN124s are a far cheaper and more efficient way to get XP.

Since you already have the B77W, these are the planes I recommend looking into:

B748 – this is my favorite X size plane. It flies the most routes out of planes in its size class, and I like the Waves B livery as it’s unique for this airplane.
A388 – there are some routes that this is just a MASSIVE moneymaker. Better XP than the B748 as well, but significantly fewer routes it can fly for player connections.
B788 – this is a really good plane for targeting low demand L destinations like LEJ.
A359 – this is an excellent long range plane. Really excels on the route between SYD and IAD.

Thanks a lot for this table, but I do not understand what Band 1 to Band 9 stands for.

Numbers under tell how much flights it need for give that much money you paid for it

Ah, ok,

So I read B77W is in Band 1 and needs 40-44 RoundTrips to get the money back I‘ve spent to buy the plane.
A319 is in Band 4 and needs 60-69 RoundTrips

Yep.
77W is one of best fast earning planes.
In my opinion 77LF would be cool to unlock, cause IT is fast earning but also gold points price will go up PROBABLY after remodel like all aircrafts, cause most of people think it would get remodel soon

This is an interesting table but I think it leaves some key information out, at least based on how I strategize with fleet building – namely this table doesn’t acknowledge that different aircraft should fill different needs in an “optimized fleet”.

For example:

You own the B77W and decide you want another L plane. So you go and purchase the B789 as it’s the next best L pax plane on the list. You then search around and find that there aren’t any routes between playable airports that the B789 performs better on than the B77W (there may be routes that this exists for AI airports, but don’t know so don’t want to assume). So why spend the GP to unlock a plane that doesn’t add potential destinations to your fleet?

For me, a planes worth is in how it answers the question: What purpose or niche does a plane fill in the route map?

Now - I’m not saying that the B789 is a bad plane, or that no one should ever buy it. I believe every plane in the game has some sort of scenario where it’s optimal or best for certain play styles – and that liking the plane should be more than enough reason to purchase it. I’m just not sure that, outside of the most efficient planes in each size / configuration categories, that this chart is a useful way (for my play style at least) to evaluate potential planes in one’s set up.

I am talking about sending to destinations like author of tabel to more paying destinations - if you are looking for playable one then you need to do:

  1. Check how much passengers/cargo can airport receive
  2. Check closest plane to these limites
  3. Use some type of business/firsth class sittings
    And everything should work right

And check how much IT will offer, do it with few planes and see which one will be able to give you best earnings.

Also before spending that much gp and money on plane check does it have destinations what you need, there is function what allows it, just telling best options to get for earnings on best routes, not realistic/player ones, but i think for that type of playing A321NX for short routes and 77W/787-9/A35K will be best

I am talking about sending to destinations like author of tabel to more paying destinations

Sure. But why buy a plane that doesn’t really open up more destinations for you? That’s the information that is missing from that table by the author. A plane might be in the author’s second tier BUT it might not open many (or any) new routes for you to fly planes compared to what you had before.

if you are looking for playable one then you need to do: […]

Or, use my handy dandy table that is in the FAQs where, once it’s done, every possible route will have minimum income, recorded maximum income, SP, and config to help optimize planes.

As an aside, you hit the nail on the head with the planes you picked… All of the A20/21 Neos / NXs, B752, E190, B77W, B788, and A35K are all very useful planes for our current collection of airports.

I was talking about more paying destination as i said.
If you want send plane to destination you picked this table doesnt TOTALLY fit for it, then you just need to check which plane will do well inside this route by other methods.

I send this table to let know this guy how planes can earn for itself on more earning routes, but he always have to check how much it will earn on destination he want to send it for sure.

Sorry for any wrong understanding or issue but i am just sleepy and coming back home😁

I dont want to make any spam there so message me on private message if any questions or anwsers to what i said :+1:

Yea I don’t think you are understanding me at all haha! This table doesn’t fit in my opinion because it only tells you how fast a plane makes a return on its investment. It’s not a bad thing, but it doesn’t really tell you how useful a plane is in building your fleet and creating a diverse but optimized connection network – either to player airports or to AI airports.

Just a philosophical difference, and I was mostly using rhetorical questions - not actually asking how this is done haha!

Cheers and happy flying.

To player airports you have to mostly check by yourself or other player made tables/schemas
