“I would like to raise an issue regarding the contracts at Muscat Airport. Currently, only the PIA Airbus A320 is available, while the PIA Boeing 777 is completely missing from the options. Other regional airlines from India, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Iran have their larger aircraft represented properly. On behalf of the Pakistani community, I kindly request the developers to look into this and enable the PIA Boeing 777 contract for Muscat to make the game more realistic and balanced for us. Thank you!”
The game is currently using a distance based contract system, meaning if the distance is too short, some planes will not be available for purchase.
You are not alone to say you were confused by this. I can tell people talked about similar issues regarding Cathay Pacific at HKG, Thai at BKK and Japanese domestic flights on this forum before.
I mean if you’re discussing realism, there’s no evidence the 777 has flown to MCT with it only once landing there due to an emergency. PIA uses A320’s on the short haul routes from Islamabad, Lahore and Multan. Now I have no idea if the other airlines around are realistic, I know from India you can get larger aircraft but only from the Eastern airports and only because it’s into the range of international flights. Emirates flies A350’s and has flown 777’s into MCT on the regular before, Etihad flies the B789. In regards to the others I’m not sure why they’ve been given larger aircraft types unless the devs decided to semi-realistically make MCT a Middle Eastern airport so players can have these A380s they desire so. I do think the 777 should be made available, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not realistic and is likely why it wasn’t ever considered.
There are a lot of short haul larger types which are highly requested, I for one very much want BA’s 757’s/767’s and Monarchs 757’s available in Europe as they were irl, United, Delta and American operated their 757’s and 767’s on shorter routes in the US which are also currently unavailable. Hopefully there’ll be a solution soon which won’t involve the long laborious task of setting each type to being short haul on set routes.
I think the WoA team is very lazy. They should look into these things and focus on what their audience actually wants. This game isn’t fully inspired by real life; there are many routes in it that don’t even operate in reality. I am really disappointed with the developers.
I have seen many games where the developers actually listen to their audience, but I don’t think WoA has ever listened to anyone to this day.
So the developers are lazy because they haven’t catered to what you want?
There’s stuff we all want to see, but things can’t be done at the drop of a hat. Things take time, and there’s a lot of stuff that happens behind the scenes that we as players don’t get to see, a major update is currently in development. Cut the devs some slack…
Then you go and post it as a suggestion after making this thread (it’s already been posted somewhere else before this), which now that I think about it I silenced somebody not too long ago for spam suggesting this very same thing over 10 times in a few days after it was already posted somewhere?
Yeah, sure, all the aircraft models, liveries, airports and features just create themselves… And they most certainly listen to players, lots of liveries, features or bug fixes were based on community suggestions/reports here on the forum. But they can’t do everything at once. The latest devblog mentioned planned demand system overhaul, I think it’s likely changes to contracts such as larger aircraft being available on shorter routes might come then.
“That wasn’t my intention at all. You can’t imagine how long some of us have been waiting for this. My only point was that rules should be the same for everyone. Perhaps the demand for these specific regional routes isn’t large enough to constantly bring this to your attention, which is why it feels overlooked. At the end of the day, it’s just a game, but sometimes we get a bit too passionate about it. If any of my words offended you, I sincerely apologize. Thank you
Believe me, a lot of us have been waiting a while for stuff. I mean look at how often the 757 gets bought up about more liveries, and we are still yet to see anything said about if/when we can expect any new ones. You need to be constructive when asking about stuff and bring it up in a civilised way without coming across as being insulting. It always pays off to be respectful, and trust me the developers do listen to what we say, just look through the forums at the devblogs or suggestions. Patience is key, just take each update as it comes and see what we get. ![]()
Not all sugestions gonna happen.
For example closest passenger airport for me i hope to see, but it has also military function why it will not created.
But other suggestions i have done on liveries i seen implemented already.
Your suggestion is not strange seen irl also widebodies on short routes. So it can both ways go.
