Will the existing Liveries disappear?

I Just saw the post on IG about the Customizable Livery and i have a question.

Will the existing liveries disappear?

And also when my question is true, do we get a refund of how many GP we spend for the liveries of all of my fleet?

The custom liveries are very likely to be an extension to the existing liveries, not a replacement.

These new liveries are optional for use. If you don’t use them that’s your choice. So a refund for investments in current liveries when you do choose to new liveries is a bit silly in my opinion.

At the grocer you pay for the products you use now, you do not get that back either when you buy similar products at a later date.

I agree with you @OrangeAir, but following with @Kenneth2010ph worries, I think the question was more like:

“I’m guessing I’m losing my old liveries, am I getting the GP back to transform them into the new liveries?”

I don’t see old liveries disappearing to be honest, but if they do, I feel this question is more than solid to ask.

Have a nice day!

What about special liveries when planes are remodeled? It seems like we keep losing them.

Keep losing them? Only 3 or 4 have been removed, likely for a reason. The vast majority of liveries will be ported across to the new models and updated to look newer and fresher. Also, just to say, this isn’t related to what Kenneth was asking in his post, he was referring to the liveries you apply to your own aircraft in response to the screenshots of the new livery system.

He said will existing liveries disappear. Specials are existing same as B1-6, P1-6, and S1-4. It stands to reason that if people think those might change, specials are even more likely to keep changing. For example, 752 just lost two and now 737 has several cool ones that might be at risk.

The last time I can think of this happening was when the B77LF was remodeled, and the package special livery was removed. When that happened, Premium 3 was applied to our accounts as compensation automatically. That’s the only time I remember a livery being removed.

I’m not expecting that to be the case from what’s been shown with the new customizations though. From what I can see – we can add text to our planes and we’ll have some stock logos to edit and place. So I’m not expecting these to replace the current liveries, but to supplement / be pasted on top of them. Until more details are provided by the devs or we get the feature, that’s just speculation though.

Do you have a screenshot of the two special liveries that got lost from the 752s?

Basic 5 used to be called Lines and matched the original factory model

Supreme 2 used to be called Waves and was kind of similar but way better IMO. Not sure what it was based on.

So now after these changes, I’m afraid to buy more A388 and 737 special liveries I think are cool.

Oh wait I had that livery… barely been flying 752s since the remodel. I think that got replaced with basic 5 which is a shame as it’s a significantly more meh livery.

Its really odd though… some remodeled planes have kept special liveries (orca for 789s for example), and others have not.

@Charlie – do you have any insight you can provide to disappearing special liveries?

So I understand it, the custom liveries stay as they are, there will be one more livery slot with custmization option.

That looks so beautiful! The layout, the colors!!! Good work, man!

Latin for “which was to be demonstrated”. Confirmation for what I said in my earlier post.
