WoA's 2025 wrapped

We have actually had a ton of stuff happen in 2025. Here are some highlights:

The forum has gained thousands of new users and now stands at 8,500.

The game has come a long way too. At the beginning of the year, we had just gotten the 2.6.0 update, which brought MSY, the IAD remodel that added two more runways, the 767, the 777, and shared stands.

Over the course of this year WoA has experienced 16 updates, including one generation update (x.0) and 4 major updates (x.x.0).

33 aircraft have been remodeled or added, as with 5 airports.

Over the course of this year, we also received a new UI, and had repeated updates to it that added features such as changing your name, the Scheduling system, and the ability to change weather and time.

Another huge feature was the inflight view.

This year, we had 5 devblogs, and all of them revealed a LOT of new information.

Long story short, this year was far and away the best year in the game’s history, in terms of growth and fun both!

Don’t forget things like combined stands, the new airport selection screen, updated and new camera views, as well as some stand additions and reclassifications at airports such as INN and SXM (I’m sure there are other’s but its hard to remember what came when!)

If I recall, airport selection was changed with 3.0. Shared stands I mentioned, they were in December 2024. Good points though

I thought combined stands first showed up with GRU? Or am I forgetting an instance where those appeared earlier?

The first time they showed up was MSY, back then still with the S/M/L/X classification

I remember MSY introducing overlapping stands, but not the combined stands where pax and cargo planes could go to the same location.

No worries! It’s hard for me to remember all that’s been added and when since the devs have been cooking so hard lately.

I was trying to make a similar list the other day off the top of my head to someone towing the “Devs should focus less on new airports and more on other things line” because man… we’ve gotten a lot of improvements all over the game just beyond airports. It is the best time in WoA’s history right now imho!

Thank you @Thatflyerguy for the wrap up, on one page it looks even for me impresive. And the types partly done but not published yet are not in that count :slight_smile: the more we wil see in 2026. Have great start in the new Year, I just say Kubasan is cooking :slight_smile: something
